Do you know what Hygge is? Even if you don't know it, you've certainly experienced it. Hygge is a Danish word to describe that feeling of “having a warm soul”. Is the warm feeling you get in front of a fireplace on a cold night. Is an attitude towards life that has made Denmark the happiest country in the world. A dream house by an award-winning architect, designed by a Dane in love with Colombia that brings together all the Hygge with the cordiality of our country. The space Wake up in one of our four impressive double rooms with the songs of the birds, have breakfast with Pacho's famous oranges directly from the tree, fresh homemade bread and eggs collected from the chicken coop. Spend the morning playing tennis or working out with the sport equipment available to guests. Have lunch in the pool eating a fish raised in our pond with vegetables grown in our garden. Have a cocktail or a beer on the pier while the sunset gives way to the starry night, and finished the day sitting in front of the fireplace reading a good book or enjoying a board game, or simply relax on the hamac enjoying the perfect weather. The landscapes will make you hold your breath; the house is situated on a private lake where you can fish or sail, or simply where you can take a round walk through bamboo forests and the sounds of the creeks. Every detail is planned so that your soul is recharged and filled with Hygge. Our house keeper will be with you from 8:00 am till 5 pm, so don't have to worry about anything. Guest access Upon arrival, you will enter the private parking lot and go down a staircase or along paths where you can see the chicken coop, the tennis court, the fish pond and the vegetable plot. In the social area you will find an incredibly comfortable sofa, a fireplace, the interior dining room with a large table, the fully equipped kitchen and a panoramic door that will allow you to access the pool and enjoy the view of the lake. The rooms are separated from the social area and each one has a queen bed and a special charm. Mariposa room is peaceful and also has a daybed perfect for reading. Libélula room has a desk and a large upper window through which the sun rays filter through. Río room has a covered terrace with a hammock and from there, you will hear the murmur of the creek. Montaña suite has a private bathroom and a beautiful terrace from where you will enjoy a breathtaking landscape. Kolibri lives up to its name because you will be able to see many of them fluttering around our lush gardens. We have a spectacular saltwater pool that does not use chlorine or any type of chemical. In this area, you will find sun loungers, an outdoor living room and the outdoor dining room. From there, you can access the dock and the private lake where you can enjoy kayaking or fishing. The shore of the lake has a perimeter path of 1.2 kilometers where you can go hiking. Our house keeper, will accompany you during the day and help you with cooking and cleaning. If you dare, you can go with her to feed the fish or collect eggs or fruits and vegetables in harvest season. We have wifi, basic sports equipment, including a kayak and rackets and balls to play tennis. Pets are welcome in the house but not on the furniture. We prefer that you leave your shoes and your cigarettes outside. Laundry service is available for the guests (extra fee) and a huge fireplace that we will leave you ready to light at night. Other things to note The house is completely private, but we have neighbors so we do not allow parties or excessive noise. You can visit a spectacular ecological trail managed by one of our neighbors (additional service not included in the price and subject to availability). Only dogs are allowed.
