With stunning views overlooking the 1.5km Blue Flag beach, you'll have access to endless opportunities for walks, golfing, cycling, SUP, windsurfing, canoeing, angling, horse-riding, bodyboarding, and surfing. During the summer months, lifeguards are on duty to ensure your safety while enjoying the water. Castlerock itself is a charming village with a variety of amenities including a food shop, water sports shop, multiple cafes and takeaways, and great restaurants (Costello's at the Golf club). Enjoy live music at the local pub Bertha's. Take advantage of the Castlerock golf course. The Mussenden Golf Course lies at the mouth of the River Bann by the Atlantic Ocean. Founded in 1901, originally as a 9 hole, it was extended to 18 holes in 1908 and upgraded in 2020, and is every bit as good as its famous neighbours in Portstewart and Royal Portrush. It is one of the toughest links courses around, with some exceptional holes. Watch out for the wind! There is also another 9 hole course called The Bann. The par 5 5th is considered to be 'one of the most scenic holes in Irish golf'. Burn off some energy at the playground, football pitches, football and tennis court facilities. The train station is also nearby, providing easy access to other areas of Northern Ireland especially Belfast to the east and Londonderry/Derry to the west. For your food and drink needs, there's Costcutter and a fabulous local butcher. There's an outdoor sports shop selling body boards, wetsuits etc. The area is rich in history and culture, with three National Trust properties located in Castlerock: the stunning Mussenden Temple, the sprawling Downhill Domain, and the historic Hezlett House. And if you're up for a bit of adventure, the Giants Causeway is just a 50-minute drive away. Our penthouse apartment can accommodate up to six guests, and is Tourism NI approved to ensure your comfort and peace of mind. Please note that we do not allow pets on the premises. The apartment is accessed by either lift or stairs, and features an open plan lounge, kitchen, and diner with breakfast bar - all with breathtaking views. The space is perfect for enjoying time with friends or family while loving the beachfront scenery. There are three bedrooms - 1x king bed is in the gallery above the kitchen/diner/living area blocked off by a blackout curtain, - 1x double in its own bedroom with an en-suite - 1x set of bunk beds in another room. Please note that the gallery area is accessed by a narrow staircase from the lounge and has a 6ft 4" height, so it may not be suitable for all guests. It has black out curtains that separate the area from the lounge which cut out light, and give privacy. The apartment also features a main bathroom with a bath and rainfall head shower, and an en-suite bathroom with a rainfall head shower. You'll have access to a cupboard with a washing machine, tumble dryer, hoover, and cleaning supplies, as well as a fully-equipped kitchen with a microwave, oven, fridge/freezer, small air fryer, toaster, kettle, toastier maker, and hand blender. Parking is available in a dedicated space under the building, with an alternative unlabelled space available. Please note that the apartment is on the fourth floor, so those with limited mobility should be aware that if there is a power cut or issue with the lift, they may have difficulty accessing the apartment. I have a travel cot (bring your own bedding), a booster seat and a stair gate to block off the stairs. There are others living in the apartment block so I ask guests to be considerate of this especially with regards to noise on approach to the building, inside the stairwell and in the apartment.
