Wi-Fi, quiet location, pets welcome – a place with soul! The space On 125sqm you will find 4 spacious rooms, each with a double and a single bed. In addition, stylish furniture, paintings and candlesticks, guest beds for up to 12 people, two bathrooms (1x shower, 1x bathtub, one toilet each) and a kitchen. - With writing secretary, standing desk or table and chairs, the rooms are also suitable for digital work. Thanks to two fiber optic cables, Schloss Weitersroda has excellent internet. In the apartment there are also cable sockets for users with strong traffic. - The bunk beds all have stable stairs as corridors and railings for securing above. Kids love it! If you prefer to be on the ground floor, you also have plenty of options there. - The "Princess Room" leaves no romantic needs open with a 18th century dressing table and richly carved double bed and closet. - The spacious salon room with the white divan and podium double bed is also suitable as a dining room, living room or salon, depending on the number of guests. - The kitchen is fully equipped (incl. Admittedly, she could use a new coat of paint... In general, you are in a 500-year-old building, not in a newly opened Motel 1... - The two new bathrooms each have a sink and toilet as well as a bath or shower. - Bed linen provided. Please bring your own towels. - Apartment Therese is also suitable for winter! Two pellet stoves - one in the middle of which all other rooms go off - heat 24h and provide the basic heat. There are fire stoves in the bedrooms and in the kitchen. The windows are new and insulated glass. The spacious castle courtyard with swings, rocking chairs, platforms and many special places to stay is at your disposal. As well as the castle garden, our temple forest as a place of silence and the castle meadows on four hectares. There is a fire pit and a barbecue area. Guest access - The castle courtyard with its 300 years of splendour, fire pit, two stages and numerous seating or swinging facilities is at your disposal. - You are also welcome to visit the "Tempelwäldchen". The small deciduous forest directly behind the castle courtyard invites you into the silence - and on hot summer days in the cool shade under the canopy. - On request you can also book the castle gifts "Simplicissimus", the blue salon or "the space". The castle is an ideal group accommodation for festive gatherings, family reunions, inspiring breaks or simply an unforgettable trip to another world. The namesake: Princess Therese Princess Therese of Saxony-Hildburghausen came to the Bavarian throne in 1825 as the wife of Ludwig I. The Munich Theresienwiese is named after her. The fairy tale king Ludwig II was her grandson. Since Florian Kirner, a native of Munich, has been running Schloss Weitersroda since 2008, it was only natural to set a habitable monument for the Hildburghäuserin on the Bavarian throne with this opulent apartment. The ideal group accommodation The furnishings impress with a loving collection of antique furniture and lots of art. For groups of any kind, the Therese suite is ideally designed - with 12 sleeping places, a living room/kitchen and two bathrooms (1x shower, 1x bathtub). There is also a large "refectory table" in the salon room. This incredibly heavy oak table is centuries old and comes from a monastery. With 12 identical chairs, you can hold real feasts here. Child and dog friendly Therese herself was the loving mother of nine children. Our vacation suite is also the ideal paradise for children. There is a high chair and fall protection for toddlers. There is the "Castle Ghost Dungeon" to discover - and the castle grounds are a single, large adventure playground. Dogs are also welcome (for an extra charge). With our own castle dog Feya, you'll get along well. Heat, light & Internet Fireplaces crackle on winter evenings, in the middle aisle a pellet heating system provides permanent warmth. All windows are new and insulated. In summer, the mighty castle walls keep the rooms pleasantly cool. Super-fast fiber optic internet makes the suite ideal for workations or creative retreats – a working environment from another world. Special places – inside and out In addition to the spacious suite itself, there is a charming reading foyer with books and a writing desk for quiet hours on the 2nd floor as well as the spacious castle courtyard with a fireplace and grill, stage, covered seating, gazebo, swings, deck chairs and play facilities for children. The romantic temple grove with seating under the canopy offers a great retreat, just like the Two-hectare tree park - with mowed paths, huge aspen trees and fascinating wild romantic nature. The castle project Weitersroda Castle will celebrate its 550th anniversary in 2028. From 1478 it was built for the Franconian imperial knight Eucharius von Hessberg. Later it was owned by the Dukes of Saxony-Hildburghausen. In 2008, the Munich artist, author and event manager Florian Kirner - alias Prince Chaos II - acquired it. After decades of neglect, the castle has since experienced a new flourishing - as can be read in the book of the lord of the castle: "Free land!
