Gold Panner’s Grotto - pet friendly lower suite

Welcome to Gold Panner’s Grotto. Enjoy a relaxing stay in this cozy two bedroom basement suite close to town. We have everything you’ll need for your stay, whether it’s for a weekend getaway, a week working in town or a month or more away from home. Perfect for families, friends or those traveling for work. Local staycationers welcome! It’s a quick 2 minute drive (or 5 minute walk) to all shopping. Downtown, the hospital and BC Cancer Centre for the North are a 5 minute drive away. The space This 850 square foot lower floor suite is located in the basement of a three storey home (there is one suite per floor). It was built in 1963 and was substantially renovated in 2004. We’ve just completed a refreshing update this year and are excited to offer this unique guest stay, reminiscent of our vacations in Northern BC and the Yukon, including books, artifacts, minerals and maps of the gold rush (you may even see something shiny in the gold pan!). We offer two queen beds with plush memory topper mattresses and high quality 100% cotton bedding. The home is fully equipped for short and long-term stays and we offer a smart TV you can use to log into your streaming services (please note we don’t offer cable) and high speed, fibre optic Internet. The kitchen has everything you’ll need to prepare all of your meals. We also offer a coffee & tea station… be sure to let us know if you take cream in your morning beverage and we’ll make sure there is some waiting for you upon your arrival. Guest access Parking is available in the private driveway at the back of the building, it’s free and there are two parking spots. There is additional free parking on the street in the front of the building. You’ll enter the suite via a private door at the side of the building. We offer self check-in and we’ll provide you with a unique code which will be active for the duration of your stay. Other things to note The other two suites in the building are also guest homes. Quiet hours are between 10 PM and 7 AM. Please ensure there is no loud music or television during these hours.
