The Pump House is a stately Manor located in the heart of the Pocono Mountains. The property dates back to 1842 and even after a recent complete renovation, it has not lost its identity or old-world charm. Walking in the front door you are greeted by original stone floors and a marvelous front parlor. The air is heavy with history as you continue into the bar. The bar has original stone floors as well as the original, working fireplace. This majestic room will capture your imagination whether you choose to eat breakfast there or spend the night drinking with family and friends bathed, in the warm light of a wood-burning fireplace and lanterns. For more formal meals, the dining room and its aristocratic grandeur await. The dining room can comfortably seat twenty (20) and is the perfect room for candlelit family dinners. The Pump House comes with several common areas to assure that, though the house may be full, you won’t feel like you are always on top of each other. The library is located just off the dining room. This room can double as a cozy reading spot or a private office in the event work beacons while you are staying with us. The living room comes with a full-sized pool table for family game night and a 120-inch, projection TV for a quiet movie night. The red room with 4 recliners and a smart TV is another great spot to watch sports, it even has Xbox with VR glasses for kids or adults :) Right outside the living room is a glorious patio lounge area. Spend the twilight hours outdoors in deep conversation beside two fireplaces as lanterns wink on one by one to welcome the coming Pocono night. The downstairs is completed by a large and spacious kitchen. This room was made to cook for large parties. There is plenty of counter space for prep work and a six (6) burner gas range stove with two ovens. The kitchen comes stocked with everything one might need to cook a family dinner. It includes a fully stocked coffee station and a sun-drenched sitting area with a gas fireplace. It is perfect for morning coffee and offers a panoramic window looking over the beautiful grounds. with a spiral staircase that leads to the second floor and a music listening area complete with a vintage 1970s record player and an expansive collection of records. The guest rooms are located on the second and third floors. The second floor has two (2) king suites with private bathrooms, two queen suites with private bathrooms, three queen rooms, and one full and one half bathroom. The veranda is located at the end of the hall and is perfect for evening drinks as the sun sets over the Pocono mountains. The third floor has three queen rooms and one full bathroom. For couples who need more privacy, we have FOUR additional private King suites with private entrances and private bathrooms. Extra large rooms with a mini fridge and a coffee maker. The Suites are in a separate building just a few steps from the back door.
