Get back to nature at Stella Matutina Farm’s Moon Flower Yurt. Located on a 10 acre , working Biodynamic farm in the heart of the Waterloo Recreation Area. The yurt sits in its own private space in the forest. Visit the farm animals, historic barn and vegetable gardens. Fire pit, outhouse with compost toilet, outdoor solar shower, gas grill and yurt woodstove. Visit the quaint towns of Grass Lake and Chelsea or go swimming in one of several nearby lakes. Mountain bike and hiking trails close by. The space This is a one room yurt, nestled in the woods with a private driveway, outhouse, solar outdoor shower, picnic table, gas grill and fire pit. Woodstove in yurt keeps you cozy warm in cold weather! Guest access Guests have access to forest area around yurt and fire pit. Plenty of state land to explore all around us. Guests can visit the animals and the barn too, just let us know. Other things to note This is a “rustic glamping “ site. We have sheets and quilts available for use, bringing an extra blanket for winter is advised. We have couch pillows for your use or bring your own for sleeping.We have drinking water in yurt, a gas grill, hand wash station, fancy compost toilet and a beautiful yurt with futons and a woodstove! There are some campfire supplies. Use of the woodstove during cooler weather requires seasoned hardwood. You are encouraged to bring your own camping supplies.
