Description
This is also one of the "simpler" rooms in the castle. It is a single room for "solo travellers". This room also has a stucco ceiling, which indicates that the larger halls were probably converted into smaller units after 1681. In 1681 there was a fire in the castle caused by a lightning strike. As a result, it can be assumed that the conversion work was also carried out in the course of the partial reconstruction. That is an assumption, but it can no longer be determined with certainty. What can be said with certainty, however, is that the conversion into smaller units happened a long time ago. This room also faces north-west and has a window overlooking the picturesque castle moat, where little lambs will soon be grazing again. This room also has an Empire pillar fireplace that would be functional, but is no longer used. The whole castle is heated by district heating from the biogas plant. This room is also a "hermitage", ideal for people who long for peace and quiet. The shower and toilet are housed in a "sanitary cube". This unorthodox but working solution was found in the castle around 1980, partly chimney shafts were used for the installation of the downpipes and the sanitary situation. Ideal room for individualists. Simple Josephine bed, with a new mattress and new slatted frame, chest of drawers, closet and solid leather furniture. Also a small desk in front of the window. New curtains, new lampshades. Above the bed is an old still life from the castle's original inventory.
