**4x4 Necessary** Finca Bella Vida is a newly constructed modern home nestled in the jungle high above the Southern Pacific Zone of Costa Rica. The sights and sounds of the nature that surrounds you will have you in awe. The lush grounds are yours to explore. Count birds, chase butterflies or relax in a hammock. This home offers four beautiful bedrooms, and sweeping views of the jungle valley below. It also includes a full kitchen, dining room, living room, washer/dryer and a patio and a fire pit outside the back door. All guests have access to the common spaces around the entire compound by booking with this listing, including the pool & ranch house, and two yoga pavilions, and the dining hall. Either myself or a caretaker may be staying in an apartment on property. If not, someone will be available by phone to assist you. Bella Vida Retreats is situated in the tiny village of La Florida on 18 acres of lush, mountainside jungle overlooking the Pacific Ocean. La Florida is in the south central region of Costa Rica in the Diamante Valley. Officially, it is in the Baru district of the Pérez Zeledón canton, which is in the San José Province of Costa Rica. We are a 4-hour car drive from SJO international airport in San José. There are various options for getting here, and there’s lots to do during your visit. Here in this remote, rural Costa Rican village, you can immerse yourself in the jungle whether disconnecting from the hustle bustle of day-to-day life, meditating or doing yoga, or just taking in the beautiful nature that surrounds our oasis. Enjoy your time here exploring the land and searching for wildlife. Howler monkeys call this valley home and make frequent appearances at our retreat. Bird lovers will appreciate the abundance of feathered friends that can be found here. And there are plenty of flowers and fruit trees to keep the hummingbirds and butterflies happy! You can also explore nearby waterfalls, tour a coffee farm, or enjoy a farm-to-table meal made by a local family. Things to Do While You’re Here: Spend your down time exploring the land, discovering the local river and waterfalls, or hike to the bottom of the property and find where the two creeks meet. You can relax by the pool, chill out in a hammock with a good book, count how many different bird species you can identify, or turn inward and reflect on your inner journey, write or meditate on it. There is always something to do or an inviting place to do nothing.
