Description

‘Wylah Place’ is a one acre property located halfway between Port Macquarie and Taree and is just 5 mins drive off the Pacific Highway (M1). It is a great place for an overnight pit stop or as a base to explore all the Midcoast has to offer. The property sits at the foot of South Brother, looks out onto Middle brother and is surrounded by cattle farms. It is very scenic and relaxing, while still being close by to activities and plenty of places to explore. The space The property consists of a 4 bedroom main residence plus the cottage. The cottage is adjacent and then in front of the main residence, giving it adequate privacy. There is also an additional 1 bedroom/ensuite room listed separately as ‘Wylah Place- The Burrow’. The accomodation offered is a cozy 2 bedroom cottage with full kitchen, indoor and outdoor dining areas, lounge room, bathroom with washing machine and a private backyard with covered patio and firepit (which may only be used outside the fire danger period). There is a queen bed, a double bed and sofa bed which folds out to a king single bed. The maximum capacity for this accommodation is 4 persons (which includes all adults/children and infants). The kitchen is stocked with a kettle, toaster, microwave and coffee machine, kitchen ware, pots and pans, crockery, cutlery, cups and glasses etc. There complimentary pepper, salt, tea, coffee and milk. We are lucky to enjoy extensive local bird life and have many other critters who wander about throughout the day, you never know just what you might see. The property is home to Ripley the Briard and a flock of chickens including a rooster, who lets us know if there are predators around and when the day is about to break. Your host is currently setting up permaculture on the grounds, so will more often than not be found on the property. Guest access In addition to the cottage, Guests are welcome to roam the property and make use of the outdoor eating/seating area at the front on the water tank. From here, the views are spectacular! Guest have onsite parking located in the carport next to the next to the cottage (explained further in your checkin instructions). There is room to bring your caravan/camper trailer/trailer, with access to power for any fridges etc. Guests are advised to stay off the septic field (marked by signs), as the sprinklers may start at anytime without warning! Guests are kindly asked to respect the privacy of the main residence fenced backyard. Ripely can have unsupervised access to this area and is not allowed to roam the entire property unsupervised (she has been known to chase the chickens). Other things to note The wifi provided is via the mobile network.  Speeds can be affected by weather and holiday influxes, but are generally quite reliable. Registration Details PID-STRA-36259
