The Keep A private annexe nestled in Somerset

The Keep Tucked away in a walled garden of a country cottage in the beautiful village of Batcombe, Somerset, the Keep is the perfect place for a night or two’s unique and tranquil getaway. The keep offers a quiet stay with amazing country walks on the doorstep and a short drive from Frome & Bruton. Sleeps 2, with basic amenities (kettle, toaster) and a private bathroom. The space The Keep is a self contained annexe within the walled garden of my home. It’s small but perfectly formed with a double bed, space for 2 to sit and have a glass of wine or coffee & a small outdoor seating area (in the shared garden of the main property). We don’t have a telly but the WiFi is great so if you do feel like curling up to watch a film, please bring your iPad, but we’ve also made sure that the Keep is stocked with lots of books and nostalgic board games. There isn’t a formal kitchen so guests can’t cook but you can make teas, coffees and toast & there are loads of lovely local fab places to eat. (Take out Pizzas from ‘At the Chapel’ are highly recommended and go very well with a glass of wine in the garden and lovely views across the valley). Guest access The Keep has a private separate entrance from the main property - reached through the side garden gate. Other things to note I have two dogs who may want to come and say hello - if you aren’t a dog lover then let me know before booking. Dogs are welcome at an additional charge of £20 per dog. The garden is fully dog proof and so long as they are friendly and happy to play with my two terriers welcome to be free range. A travel cot can be provided but it’s not the best place for children as there’s only 1 double bed & no room for additional single beds as the Keep is open plan.
