Welcome to Martha & Ian's second home in the bucolic Hamlet of Smallwood, NY. It’s just 2 hours from NYC and 3 hours from Philly. We're Brooklynites originally from Chicago but now call NYC home. Our getaway boasts a 3 bedroom, 2 bath house with a fully stocked kitchen and spacious deck with a large Solo Stove for camp fires. The finished basement for movie watching and 6 person hot tub offers a true R&R experience. The home sits on 1 acre wooded lot and is just 10 minutes from Bethel Woods. The space Our home is nestled in the heart of the breathtaking Catskill Mountains, this recently updated 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom home boasts breathtaking views of the surrounding natural beauty. With three levels of living space and a fully furnished basement, there is plenty of room for everyone to spread out and relax. As you step inside, you are greeted by a warm and inviting living room, complete with a cozy wood burning fireplace with comfortable seating. The adjacent dining area is perfect for enjoying meals with family and friends, and features large windows and a number of sky lights that let in plenty of natural light. The kitchen is a chef's dream, with top-of-the-line appliances and plenty of counter space for meal preparation. The coffee nook is perfect for creating your personal cup of coffee, and the large outdoor deck offers a tranquil spot to take in the views while enjoying the morning peace and fresh air. The upper level is home to a spacious king bedroom, newly renovated bath with soaking tub and a working space with plenty of light from the numerous sky lights. The other two bedrooms, one king, one queen share a well-appointed bathroom on the main floor. The fully furnished basement offers even more space to relax and unwind, with a comfortable seating area, large-screen TV, and plenty of games and entertainment options. It also includes a queen bed for additional guests. No trip to the Catskills would be complete without a soak in the hot tub, located out the front door with clear views to the sky for star gazing on a clear night. Whether you're looking for a peaceful retreat or an adventure-filled getaway, this charming Catskill home has everything you need for a truly unforgettable vacation. The Catskills is where some of New York City's best food and beverage makers have transplanted themselves making adventures up and down the Delaware river a real treat. Guest access There is parking for at least 4 cars in the driveway. Keys to the front door are located in a lockbox on the front porch. The code will be sent to you the evening before your check-in date. There’s also access to the home via the attached garage and walk out basement for easy load in. Other things to note There are a number of cute little towns within a 30 minute drive from our home: Livingston Manor, Liberty, Roscoe, Callicoon, Cochecton, and Narrowsburg. These tucked away towns provide a true getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life. Whether it’s strolling farmer’s markets, browsing cute boutiques or just taking in the natural beautiful surroundings, Sullivan County & the Catskills offers a breath of fresh air.
