Located on a peaceful 27-acre former campground turned urban fiber farm, this cottage is on a private road with a basketball court, playground and several open acres to play, walk and enjoy your stay. You will have the house to yourself with three bedrooms and a full kitchen with everything you need for family meals. We also host church groups in our bunkhouses and many pastors enjoy staying with their groups utilizing the cottage for their young family or older group members. The space As a family of 7, we understand the unique needs of families with children, and our cottage is tailored to ensure everyone's comfort and relaxation: You will find we are bunk-bed free, there are toys for little ones, no breakables at toddler level, a high chair in the kitchen, easy to clean surfaces and little ones have their own set of dishes. Family-Focused Features: Child-Friendly Flooring: We've installed vinyl flooring throughout the home, making it easy to clean up any spills and providing a soft landing for little ones who are still finding their footing. Safety and Simplicity: Our cottage is designed with safety and simplicity in mind. You won't find bunk beds here to worry about, and we've kept knick-knacks out of reach. We've also provided a selection of coloring books, toys, and various books to keep young readers engaged. Open Play Spaces: Enjoy open, uncluttered spaces for your children to play. Small dressers in the closets come complete with hangers, table lights, and night lights for added convenience. Entertainment for All Ages: Living Room: Gather in the cozy living room, where you'll find a 39-inch Amazon TV for streaming movies and a DVD player for family movie nights. Inside the TV cabinet, you'll discover cards, puzzles suitable for various age ranges and abilities, family-friendly games, and a selection of DVDs. Rest assured, the TV cabinet and mirror are securely tethered to the wall. Family-Friendly Kitchen: Cooking and Dining: The kitchen is well-equipped for family cooking and dining. You'll find children's dishes in different colors, a small coffee area, and basic cleaning supplies to make your stay convenient. Snacks: We've stocked a few snack items in case you arrive late or need a quick bite in the morning. If you prefer to plan ahead, there's a Dollar General Market just 5 minutes away, and Kroger offers grocery delivery service. Sleeping Arrangements: Bedroom 1: A comfortable queen bed is located just across the hall from the bathroom. Bedroom 2: A twin bed with a trundle, as well as a separate twin bed for additional sleeping options. Bedroom 3: This room features three twin beds arranged in a U shape, providing plenty of space for kids to play, with toy totes in the closet. Utility Room: Adjacent to the kitchen, there is a spacious utility room with a full-sized futon bed that can comfortably sleep two guests. Linens are provided upon request for your convenience. Guest access The whole house is solely yours, and you will be sharing the rest of the 27-acre property with other guests, primarily families and youth groups visiting AIG attractions. Other things to note Our primary mission is to provide a safe and enjoyable family-friendly venue for weddings, reunions, and other retreats, all while making a positive impact by offering work and job training opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities. Currently, we are proud to have over 60 angora goats and ten Suri and Huacaya alpacas. These animals graze in pastures just across our private road from the cottage, offering guests a unique opportunity to observe and connect with them. There are also free range chickens and barn cats and kittens that help keep pests at bay. Pet Policy: Please note that due to the nature of our animal residents and their sensitivity to outside animals, we cannot accept family pets during your stay.
