The lodge at Pitton Hill Farm (NOT White Hill Farm house) is a self contained, well presented converted barn in a wonderful rural setting. It has a modern but comfortable feel with a large kitchen and living area. It has a secluded patio area with table and chairs over looking a small pretty garden. We are along the Clarendon way, and many footpaths through woodland and fields. There is village pub and shop. We are very close to Stonehenge, Stockbridge, Wilton, the New forest or the Dorset coast The space This is a lovely tranquil place to stay in the countryside. It is a very comfortable, newly built, high spec lodge in the grounds of our house and we run an equestrian Centre and small farm in a separate area. It has exposed oak beams as it is a barn conversion so it has some unusual nooks and crannies! On the ground floor we have a utility room with a washing machine, hanging dryer and a tumble dryer, iron and ironing board. Off of the utility room is the bath room, toilet and shower. Then we have a work area with with WIFI and also some extra seating and the stairs leading up to the two bedrooms. Both of the Bedrooms are mezzanines with balustrades and a child gate with plenty of space and head room. To access the main bedroom with a double bed, you have to go through the first room which has a single bed and either a single or double day bed. There is a carpeted ladder stair way up so it is not suitable for the elderly, disabled or young children. You have to go up and down it as a ladder. Again on the ground floor there is the large comfortable lounge. It has a smart TV and two double sofa beds for flexibility on numbers. This leads on to our large Kitchen/diner. Modern and all mod cons, range cooker, American fridge/freezer, dishwasher, wine fridge, toaster, microwave etc. We provide toilet rolls, towels and bedding with pillows, quilt and covers. The kitchen has essentials provided, i.e. washing up liquid, cleaning products, sponges and tea-towels and kitchen roll, tea, coffee and sugar. There is a patio area with a seating and dining area overlooking a small private garden. Guest access We have plenty of space to park and turn and it is a secure and gated area. Pitton has a great pub and a village shop open 7 days a week. Pitton is also on the bus route into Salisbury or there is a park and ride within a few miles. The historic city of Salisbury is 2.5 miles away, Stonehenge is 8 miles and the New Forest is 12 miles away. Dorset and the South West coast are all very close and beautiful areas to visit. There are fabulous walks including the Clarendon Way. Other things to note We have horses, CATS, and chickens on the farm. No cats live in the lodge but some guests will occasionally let our friendly one in for company or by accident! The lodge is always cleaned and hoovered prior to arrival. We do not have dogs and we would request that you do not bring pets. We would prefer bookings of four days plus but if you have a weekend wedding or event we can ask you to bring your own bedding and towels if it is just one or two nights required or add an additional fee for the use of ours for a short stay.
