Other things to note Olive Garden Retreat is located about 10 minutes by car from Makarska center. The access road is partially gravel, partially concrete, and narrow in some places. It’s a quiet, forest road—one-way in most parts—so you may need to slow down or stop to pass other cars. It’s part of the charm, but we’ll personally meet you and guide you there on your first day. Once you’re here, you’ll understand—it’s worth every curve in the road.
