Guayacán Guesthouse is an eco-friendly and sustainable building located on the oceanfront road of the Malecón in Esperanza, within walking distance of restaurants, bars, stores, & the beach. The Yabisi room is on the first floor with direct access to the back garden. Yabisi is the Taino name for Tree, like the mighty Guayacán, or like the strong Ceiba, national tree of Puerto Rico. Vieques is home to an ancient 400+ year old Ceiba tree, a local treasure & tourist favorite. Always respect nature. The space Guayacan Guesthouse is Green-conscious. We run the AC with solar panels. Please be considerate and turn the lights and AC off if you are not in the room. The second floor terrace is for the exclusive use of second floor guests only. Please be mindful and respectful. Security Cameras are located on various external locations of the building for your security and wellbeing. The privacy of your rented room is honored and protected. There are no cameras inside any of the rooms. Please be respectful of other guests. Keep unnecessary noise to a minimum before 9am and after 10pm. We want you to get your rest and feel safe. El Malecon in Esperanza is an active dynamic location, along with its memorable sunsets and spectacular ocean views, you will find many restaurants that play music, cars going down the street, the laughter of people walking, horses looking for something to do, and much more. The Malecon is the heartbeat of Vieques. The rooms have been built to provide you with both quiet and peace, but please be mindful that the Malecon is not a solitary secluded area in rural Vieques. Other things to note Please note that there is no kitchen sink in this unit, however there are 2 large sinks installed in the back garden for your use to wash dishes when needed.
