The space Welcome to Parkwood Chalet Our chalet is tucked into a beautiful wooded setting with a private backyard, yet just minutes from the action. After passing through the main gate, you’ll find us easily—only a 2-minute drive from the nearest beach, bar, and ski hill. Step onto the front deck and into the entryway mudroom, where you’ll find an information board with community policies, guest passes, and local recommendations to help you settle right in. ✨The main floor features an open-concept layout with a fully equipped kitchen overlooking the dining area, custom bar top, and cozy living room. Whether you’re whipping up dinner or enjoying a morning coffee, the kitchen has all the essentials—pots, pans, dishes, utensils, spices, and oils. Two bedrooms and a full bathroom are also located on the main level. One bedroom has a full-size bed, while the second includes a twin-over-full bunk bed—perfect for kids or friends. ✨Relax & Unwind Put your feet up by the fireplace indoors, or head outside to gather around the private fire pit (we’ve stocked complimentary s’more ingredients for you to enjoy). The private hot tub is spacious enough for the whole group—a must after a day of exploring. In colder months, cuddle up inside by the gas fireplace and watch a movie on one of two large TVs. ✨Upstairs Retreat The upper level offers a spacious king bedroom with peaceful views of the wooded backyard, along with a full bathroom and another bedroom with a queen bed. ✨Entertainment Zone Head downstairs through the red door to discover the basement lounge, complete with a massive sectional, large-screen TV (stream your favorites or choose from ours), and a game table with plenty of options. ✨Bonus Game Room is located around the back of the property with its private entrance. Perfect for late-night fun without disturbing those who head to bed early. ✨Extra Comforts The lower level also includes an additional bedroom with bunk beds and a laundry room, so you can pack light and stay fresh throughout your trip. ✨ Retreat to Parkwood—where comfort, fun, and relaxation come together. Guest access When you arrive as our guest, we have special passes for you to use the amenity filled community. Enjoy the private recreation sports complex with gym, indoor tennis courts, shuffle board, volleyball, pickle ball, basketball courts and arcade. Outdoor courts include tennis and basketball as well. But wait there's more! Have a blast on the 198 acre Roamingwood Lake, boat rentals are available for an additional fee. Included in your guest access are 2 pools (and wading pool for kids), mini golf, art center, the ski hill with lodge, and a tubing run (conditions permitting)! Guests will have access to the entire house except the locked pantry. However, everything you would need for a fully functioning kitchen and cooking needs is accessible. There are two garages. One is a single car garage, accessible to guests if they need it (it just needs to be opened from the inside of the house). The two car garage and addition added to the back of the house is temporarily being used and is locked. Please do not attempt to access this portion of the house. Rest assured no one is occupying this space, it is just for storage. Other things to note When you arrive at the main gate you will enter into the main office and confirm your arrival within the community. As you are greeted you will also be given information regarding your included amenities to get the most out of your stay.
