This comfortable apartment has all you need to settle in and feel at home quickly. It has easy off-street parking and is just a few blocks from Leech Lake and 6 blocks from downtown Walker. It is in the lower level of a large building that has a 10-bedroom vacation rental upstairs and another 2-bedroom apartment downstairs. The space At the top of the hill in Walker, you're just blocks from great shopping, delicious food, a beach, and playground. * Open living room is comfortably furnished and has a television * Kitchen is well-stocked. (A small portable dishwasher is available.) * Bedroom 1 has a queen bed. * Bedroom 2 has 1 bed and sleeps 1. * Lower level entry and parking are separate from the upper level * Off-street parking * Ground level Guest access We're just blocks from the quaint shopping and eating establishments of downtown, yet have very little through traffic on our street. Our house is set back off the street, with an irrigated lawn and off-street paved parking. The distance to town and the park/lake isn't bad, but it's a steep hill. Both up and down can be a challenge. If you want to go for a walk or run, there are beautiful, quiet streets around us that aren't so steep. In the winter, there's a public outdoor ice rink across the road. (Please contact the Walker Area Community Center for information.) Other things to note The upper level of this building is a large vacation rental that has 10 bedrooms. People in this lower level apartment can hear footsteps and voices upstairs. You can also hear lower level doors and and garage doors. This apartment is usually rented with the upstairs, so the noise isn't a problem. If you rent it separately, please be aware that you will hear people if there are any upstairs. The house is on a corner lot, and the upper level is accessed from the other street. If you rent both the upstairs and downstairs, we can open up the indoor stairway to connect the two rentals if desired. This stairway isn't obvious, so each unit feels independent. The stairway is long and narrow. A dumpster is available on the property for your convenience. It's in the lower level parking area.
