All of the suites are climate controlled and have a smart TV for your entertainment. In addition to your suite, you will have access to the breathtaking common areas in Strawberry Hill. Take in the award-winning restoration and historic detail of the entrance hall, dining room, and parlor. Explore the property and gardens as well as the surrounding historic landscape, including a two hundred year old stone bridge and a spring from which Strawberry Hill's earliest inhabitants drank. If you head east down the hill towards downtown you'll find coffee shops, restaurants, bars and TWO doughnut shops! And shopping, of course - especially antiquing. If you need more, downtown Richmond is only 25 miles away. If you walk a block over to High Street and head west away from downtown you'll be paralleling the Appomattox River. Head north another two blocks and you'll reach a trail that runs along this gorgeous Virginia waterway. We are just a few blocks in one direction from Petersburg's restaurants and coffee shops, and just a few blocks in the other direction from a lovely walking trail along the Appomattox River. Strawberry Hill is just a short walk from downtown Petersburg, one of Virginia's oldest settlements with a complex past that now boasts a mix of beautiful architecture and old buildings waiting to be restored.
