Lazy Bear Retreat at River Mountain Ranch is a studio sized unit with queen bed, sitting area, small kitchenette (mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker), full bath, large oversize stone patio complete with tables, chairs, hammock, and unobstructed views of the surrounding mountains. Other things to note River Mountain Ranch, in beautiful Trinity County, is located in the Steiner Flat River corridor (one of Northern California's premier salmon fishing rivers) in Douglas City, with easy access off highway 299, and is just 10 miles from the town of Weaverville and only 45 miles from the City of Redding. Bordered on three sides by BLM Public Lands, the ranch is nestled in a serene setting of pine trees and rolling foothills and has numerous nearby river access points. We have lots of things nearby to explore on foot, boat, kayak, or horse! Being centrally located in Trinity County, River Mountain Ranch is a perfect base camp for access to everything from the Trinity Alps to the many local mountain lakes nearby. Nearby hiking and horse trails are also available right from the ranch. We also have lots of amenities nearby. The Douglas City General Store is only 3 miles away for basic food, beverage, fuel, and fishing supplies. For full service grocery, hardware, restaurants, and other needs, the town of Weaverville is only 10 miles north on highway 299. Boat rentals are available during summer season at both nearby Trinity and Whiskeytown Lakes. Additional information on location and cost is located in each cabin. Two fast electric vehicle charging stations are located less than 5 miles away and available 24 hours a day.
