Once an organic farm, our 5-acre property has 300' of McKenzie River frontage, big trees, and lots of peace and quiet - only 15 min. to Springfield, 30 min. to downtown Eugene! Within an hour upriver are beautiful waterfalls, hot springs, and hiking under old growth trees. Enjoy golf, rafting, and fishing, too, and there's two ski resorts within 1-1/2 hr. Perfect for traveling professionals needing to stay more than 30 days! Monthly discount is 50%. Long-term stays are limited to 2 adults. The space Property is located in Springfield (Walterville), Oregon, on the pristine McKenzie River. Enjoy watching bald eagles, osprey, blue heron, ducks and geese while kicking back and taking in the beautiful river view. This is the perfect place to completely unwind and commune with nature! Completely private (detached) newly renovated 650 sq. ft. cottage with covered porch on this 5-acre residential property. Guesthouse is not directly on the river, but it's just a short two minute (literally) stroll on the lawn to the river's edge. There are great views in this park-like setting from inside and outside the guesthouse. The Barn has sweeping pastoral and mountain views and is surrounded by big maple and fir trees. Whether sitting inside, on your private deck, or relaxing by the river, you're going to love the views! Host lives on the premises but gives guests total privacy. The guesthouse is completely secluded and private. (Host is available by text). All kitchenware, bathroom essentials, and linens are provided. Kitchenette has an apartment size refrigerator/freezer, countertop double oven (the versatile Ninja 12-in-1), microwave, 2-burner electric induction cook top, drip coffee maker, toaster, blender, and hand mixer. Stocked with cooking oils, spices, powder creamer, and sugar. Basic condiments (ketchup, mustard, and mayo), coffee and tea are provided upon your arrival. AMENITIES INCLUDE: • High speed wi-fi • Full-size daybed with memory foam mattress on main level • One full and one queen bed are in the upstairs loft which has a low angled ceiling • 40-inch Smart TV with Roku and Samsung TV. NOTE: you will need to use your own credentials to stream any premium channels. • Blackout shades • Wardrobe closet with drawers • Wall heaters • Portable oscillating fans downstairs and in loft • Iron and ironing board • Propane BBQ • Outdoor portable wood-burning fire pit (when permitted) • Smoke detector • Fire extinguisher • First Aid kit Guest access Guesthouse has a private gravel driveway where there's lots of uncovered parking and enough room to park and/or turn a trailer around. The riverfront is literally a 2 minute stroll on the lawn under towering maple trees. Enjoy sitting in comfortable reclining lawn chairs (in sun or shade) while relaxing in this beautiful setting! Aside from the area immediately next to the host's residence, guests have access to the entire 5 acre property. Lots of big trees and plenty of open space for you to walk around, and the Walterville Canal Trail is within walking distance down our private lane. With its magnificent views and flat terrain, the canal trail is perfect for an invigorating walk! The spectacular McKenzie River area offers great hiking, fishing, kayaking, rafting, golf and beautiful scenic drives. Waterfalls and hot springs are within an hour away upriver, and Hoodoo and Willamette Pass ski resorts are less than two hours away! Please note that there are no proper bedrooms with walls and a door. Rather, there's an extra long full size daybed downstairs that serves as extra seating space by day and a bed at night. There's a queen bed and a full bed up in the loft. Other things to note A binder is provided with information about the property and local interests. PLEASE read it upon arrival, especially if you are bringing a pet. We are a 420 friendly property. Cigarette smoking is also permitted but outside only, please! Parties are not permitted. Neither is glitter, confetti, self-tanner, hair or body dye/paint, fabric dye, shoe polish...you get the idea! Only dogs that respond well to recall, are permitted off leash outside. Due to insurance restrictions, pitbulls or aggressive dogs are not permitted. * Pets are not permitted to be left unattended unless they are crated.
