The space The wooden house is situated directly at the seaside below the village São Mateus amidst vineyards and wine adegas. The natural room climate, the nearby swimming pool (400m) and the hiking trails along the coast are a guarantee for a relaxing holiday - a perfect place for families or small groups up to 8 people. It is also a good option for couples who wish to have a spacious place or for three couples on a joint trip to Pico. The super market is at walking distance (600-800 m) together with a few bars, also offering food. The village of Lajes at 15km distance is a centre for whale watching, you can climb Pico (2351m), visit caves (Gruta das Torres), go hiking, diving, horse-riding, bird-watching, cycling or deep sea fishing - all possible on Pico. Pico is well-linked with the islands Faial and Sao Jorge for a day-trip. Guest access The house has internet connection. The kitchen is fully equipped, fun for those who love cooking for guests or family: dish washer, fridge and deep freeze, microwave, water boiler, coffee machine, electric oven and induction stove. The bathroom has a washing machine and tumble dryer. There is WLAN, cable-TV, DVD and CD player/Radio. Situated on a terrace a little further up, there is a BBQ with a fantastic view over the ocean. The40 sqm terrace at the house is a cosy sun, rain and wind protected place - and offers some extra space. Other things to note The internet connection in the house is fast.
