Restful double room with private bathroom

Cosy double room with spacious private bathroom (inc. bath) in this characterful home in the heart of Levens; an attractive South Lakeland village situated at the gateway to the Lake District. Our house is one of the oldest buildings in Levens, dating back to around 1840. There are beautiful walks from the door; over the fell to Sizergh Castle, Levens Hall & Deer Park (both have excellent cafés!), Park End Moss wetland hide and the outlying fells of Whitbarrow and Scout Scar. The space Cosy double bedroom with window seat, shutters and blackout curtains. Two chests of drawers. Additional seat and mirror. Modern, private, spacious bathroom with shower over the bath across the hallway from the bedroom. The private bedroom and bathroom are in a home that is shared with the host. Guest access You will have access to a double bedroom and private bathroom. A breakfast of homemade muesli, sourdough toast and fruit will be served in the kitchen/diner, which you are also welcome to access for tea and coffee making facilities during your stay. On a fine day please feel free to take a seat and relax in our courtyard garden, or on the bench at the front of the house to enjoy our sunny cottage garden. During your stay Rich and I are walkers, we have loved getting to know our local area (and further afield) since we moved from York to Kendal in 2017, and more recently to the delightful village of Levens. We like to get into the Lake District fells as often as we can with our dog. We’re very happy to share our experience with you and provide any suggestions to help you get the most out of your trip, including the less frequented areas around us if you would like to really get away from it all. We are likely to be around during your stay and will greet you on arrival. We will also be contactable via the Airbnb app if you have any questions. Other things to note We have a friendly little spaniel, who usually keeps herself to herself but may also greet you with a toy and a waggly tail!
