Lyme Regis - Coastal eco house with private beach.

Hidden away in a blissful part of East Devon, you’ll find the Summerhouse. Set in two acres of mature gardens and surrounded by ancient beech, ash and oak woodland, this recently modernised eco-house enjoys breathtaking views over the under cliff and across the sea. Whether it's swimming down at the private beach, cooking something delicious in the wood fired oven or simply relaxing in the outdoor bath. The Summerhouse offers complete tranquility and is a wonderfully peaceful place to stay. The space There are 2 bedrooms at the Summerhouse, each with king size beds. The main bedroom has a large ensuite with walk in shower. There is also large family bathroom with bath and shower. If you love to cook you'll be happy in the large kitchen. It is fully equipped for even the most ambitious chef. The sitting room has a wood burning stove which is lovely in the autumn and winter, there will be kindling and a basket of logs available. If you want to take in a film there's a flat screen television in the sitting room, complete with Netflix. The house has wifi and wifi calling. Guest access During your stay we won't be around so the house and gardens will be yours to enjoy completely. We have no neighbours so it's very private. This said, The Summerhouse is our home so you may find it a little busier than a stripped back holiday let, but don't worry, we'll leave the fridge empty, so you'll need to get in all your own provisions. If the weathers good spending time outside is what makes the house so special. There will be deck chairs and a picnic table for your use. But if you want to really relax, then the big copper bath that looks out to sea is the place to be. There is a gorgeous wood oven you can fire up for pizza, fish or roasting a shoulder of lamb. There's a big green egg for anyone who's keen to have a BBQ or hot smoke something delicious. There's also a special fire pit in front of the house called an OFYR, which you can cook over too. As a precautionary note - The Summer house is perched at the top of a deep valley that falls away to the woods and ocean below. To the west of the house lies the original pleasure gardens of the estate, the main feature is a series of large drop ponds that cascade through the wood. Children are more than welcome at The Summerhouse, but constant supervision is necessary. In the countryside, ponds, steep banks and wild woods can all be a danger. We can not be held responsible for any accidents that may occur in or on the grounds of the property. Other things to note We are not apposed to dogs staying too, but would prefer to know how many and the breed. Please let us know if you are considering bringing a pet.
