Welcome to Whitestone! It is a quiet, upscale and safe residential neighborhood. There are shops & great dining options within walking distance. Parking is ALWAYS available and bus stop is within blocks. - 5-7 min away by car is LGA/Citi Field/US Open - 20 min from JFK with no traffic - 44 bus takes you to the #7 train's Main St. station. From here you'll be in Grand Central in 30 min on express train. -QM2 Express bus to the city in a 1/2hr depending time of day and where you're going The space Disclaimers: 📢Airbnb service fee structure has changed supposedly so guest have transparency on what they’re paying. This is a LIE! You are STILL being charged, currently 15.5%, but Airbnb are now hiding it in the Host’s daily rate. So it now looks like their service fee is $0 and the host’s are just charging really high daily rates. Hosts are NOT receiving what you see in the daily rate. As a fellow BNB guest, aside from host, I STRONGLY suggest that IF you are to cancel, you do it within the first 24hr of booking. After 24hrs they keep that 15.5% service fee! Also, I will not be able to refund that portion back to you since I will have already been charged by them. 📢😤 -No animals of any kind are in the home nor are permitted on the property. - I may not confirm NYC residents. (See house rules) -"Parking on Premises" was added to the listing so it can be searchable by my guests. There is ALWAYS readily available parking across the street. Driveway not included. I live on the premises, so I choose who I invite to book in my home. Once you're here, you'll be treated like family! I just ask that you respect my home and treat it accordingly. Everything has been lovingly renovated so please ensure damage is not caused by travel bags/luggage etc. Thank you! The Space: Note: You must be able to walk up stairs. There are 5 steps to the front door and another 19 steps up to the room. - Solely for single travelers. (Currently offering 2 bedrooms right next to each other. Each with a single bed. Ensure you select whether your reservation is for 1 or 2 people as there is different pricing. A 1 person reservation will always be in bedroom #1 Grey room ) - Quiet room overlooking beautiful private backyard - Comfortable Twin bed with fluffy mattress pad - Hotel quality Down/Feather pillows - Desk to work/read - Blackout shades - Spa like bathroom (Down the hall from room/ Toiletries provided/ shared with host & any visiting family member) - Iron/ironing board/lint roller in linen closet next to bathroom - Room size is 7 1/2' X 10 1/2' - Tea/coffee available in the kitchen - Have your meals on Deck/Backyard or kitchen. No eating in the room please. **Please familiarize yourself with where you're planning to go while you're staying in Whitestone. (Bridge view nursing home is down the block for your mapping reference) New Yorkers are accustomed to 1hr work commutes. So I do not want to get a low star rating for "location" because my guests did not pick the right place for their needs. So if you want to be in Manhattan in 15min I strongly suggest you book elsewhere. If you want to stay in a safe neighborhood with beautifully serene surroundings and my "location" works for you then I'd be happy to welcome you! I'm flexible either way. : ) I’m a Native New Yorker so ask me anything! Other things to note -Some areas of the wood floors creak. I don’t think it will wake you up at night. I just wanted to let you know. -Because the Hot water heater is on the lower level of the house and the bathroom is on the upper level, it takes a a minute longer to reach you. Be patient. For very early AM check ins you will need to book the day before to guarantee room availability.
