The Birdhouse in Elon

Welcome to our warm and inviting home located near Elon University and the City of Burlington, and a short drive to Durham, UNC-Chapel Hill, and Greensboro. This house is in a quiet, friendly neighborhood full of mature trees and a town park with trails and a playground. Elon University is an easy one mile walk through quiet neighborhoods and along sidewalks leading to our sweet downtown, home to many locally owned businesses that offer an array of dining and shopping experiences. The space Our home has ample parking in the driveway and along the quiet street in front of the house. Please note that the garage is not accessible to guests. There are 4 stairs with a handrail leading to the front door. Once inside you will find an inviting foyer with coat closet and extra storage space. To your left is a large, well-lit living room area with ample seating and a reading/chess nook. The dining room seats 8, and there is space for 2 at the kitchen island. Our kitchen is well equipped with and array of cookware and spices to allow ease in cooking delicious meals. Off of the kitchen there is a charming common area with a desk and separate lighting that may be closed off to allow for quiet work space. All bedrooms and 2 full baths are upstairs, while a queen sleeper sofa and half bath are downstairs. My father was a wood-working craftsman and you will find evidence of his handiwork and art all around the house, including a grandfather clock, a chess table, a wormy chestnut game table, 2 hand-hooked rugs, and birdhouses galore. The crowning jewel of the home is the 3 level deck in the huge fenced and private backyard! Other things to note Pets may be allowed to stay. Please inquire with the host before booking if you plan to bring your pets along. There is a small dog door accessing a large fenced in back yard. If accepted, there may be an extra cleaning fee if deemed necessary by host in order to remove pet hair. Thank you for understanding.
