45 min to Letchworth State Park (the Grand Canyon of the east), 55minutes to Stony Brook State Park (hiking trails, waterfalls) and 1.25 hrs to Niagara Falls, 10 min. to Rochester, 60 min. to Buffalo, Watkins Glenn State Park (90min) The bedroom is on the second floor of our home but the steps are normal with a railing. The bathroom is shard. Guests comment that they love my house and find it very homey and they absolutely fall in love with my cat and dog! If you are not super fussy I think you will love your stay here. For a $35.00 fee we will pick you up at the Rochester bus or train station or the airport. For a $69 fee we will pick you up at the Buffalo airport. Additional charges with be asked for pick ups or drop offs between 9 pm and 9 am. You can have as much or as little interaction with us as you wish. However, because I am proud of our area I would like to learn your goals for your stay so I can help you make the most of your time with suggestions. If your bedroom door is closed we will not disturb you. We will give you our phone numbers in case you have questions when you are out for the day. I do ask that you shoot me a text when you are about an hour from arriving back home so I can insure someone is there to assist you if needed. We are in a suburban residential area yet close to the action. It's a great neighborhood to take walks and bicycle. There are parks nearby and everything a city has to offer is just a short drive away. Marketplace mall is a five minute drive (2 miles). RIT and MCC is a ten minute drive. U of R is a fifteen minute drive. I90 and 390 is five minutes away. There are unique coffee houses and off the beaten path places to visit. If time permits, I strongly recommend you visit Letchworth State Park (45 min. drive). We provide bicycles if you'd like to explore that way for $10/day per bike. 5 There is a good bus system here and there is a bus stop a five minute walk from us. If I'm free, I can pick you up at the Rochester airport between 9 am and 9 pm for $35. Pickups at other times need to be arranged in advance and will cost more. We have a cat and dog (a Bichon Freeze). The dog has hair not fur but an allergy to cats would be a problem. (We perfer you do not allow the pets in the guest room so please keep your door shut at all times). All of the pets are totally lovable and do not bite or scratch. The dog (MoJo) may bark at you as you enter the house until you let him smell the back of your hand.
