There are FOUR lovely guestrooms - #1 - "Golden Light", #2" Tangerine Dream (if you need that extra room, sharing bath with #1), #3- "Lotus Flower", all with super comfy queen sized beds & #4 "Writers Paradise" (double bed with desk) with new linens and towels, on the ground floor; includes HIGH SPEED INTERNET. Great walking & biking on beautiful country roads; a Kundalini Yoga Studio & massage therapist within walking distance, Sivananda Yoga Ranch, SYDA Foundation, Stage Door, hiking, golf, swimming, rafting, kayaking, horseback riding, local spas; antiquing and great restaurants. Zen is a Certified WILDLIFE HABITAT by the National Wildlife Federation, a birdwatchers paradise; with the Bashakill Bird Conservation Area nearby. Not far from Bethel Woods Performing Arts Center and Museum (19 miles), on the edge of Catskill Park, lots of small towns to explore, many ashrams and monasteries; world class fishing in Roscoe; the famous "Monster" Golf course and many other beautiful, reasonably priced golf courses. A great get away in a peaceful setting surrounded by wild life, clear night skies with lots of stars and fireflies; only 90 miles from Manhattan. A 2-DAY MINIMUM PLEASE. The Zen Farmhouse is a tobacco-free and drug-free location so please do not to bring any tobacco or illegal drugs onto the property. The guest have access to the "Great Room" and limited kitchen privileges with refrigerator and pantry space. They can walk the trail in the field and the woods, use the barbeque, the patio area and lawn. I do host my guests as much or as little as they want. Most guests have their trips laid out but if not I can give suggestions on where a good fishing hole is or a beautiful hike or a great restaurant. Most often I have some morning interaction at breakfast as guests plan their day. The Zen farmhouse is located in the heart of the Catskills - the home of Woodstock. There are many historic villages that date back to the early 1800's that have hardly changed. This is not your typical developed resort, this is an adventure with beautiful land, lakes, streams and sweet people that have been here for generations. The Shortline bus is two block from the farm and there are cabs available, but to really enjoy the area a car is almost a necessity.
