The space The 3 bedrooms feature different themed décor (Mola Dreams, Sail Your Dreams, and Hat Fantasy) and closets. A whale mural made of tile gives the house its name, while a wooden fish marks the lot number. The entire home is decorated with original art and carved wooden furniture, colorful Mexican pottery, wrought-iron tables and lamps, and bronze, wood, and shell figures. Wooden and zebra-style fabric blinds throughout. Shade cover in the front patio. Patios and terrace staircase with decorative tiled floors, plus many more unique details. Guest access Spacious gravel parking areas on three sides of the house. Just steps away from one of the most beautiful beaches in the Sea of Cortez, known for its calm waves and some of the finest sand on untouched beaches stretching for miles north and south of Santo Tomas. During low tide, guests can enjoy natural tide pools filled with local marine life. Other things to note Santo Tomas is just one hour south of Puerto Peñasco and features MamaChita’s, a Mexican restaurant/bar-karaoke with an American twist, open from 11:00 am to 8:30 pm, and from 9:00 am to 8:30 pm on Saturdays and Sundays, except Wednesdays. Guests can enjoy kayak and paddleboard rentals, guided horseback rides, electric bikes (Super 73s to help keep the area quiet), fishing and exploration tours to Isla San Jorge (Bird Island), and a unique tour to Viñedos La Bonita, the first winery producing table wines in the Sonoran Desert, including wine tasting experiences (guests drive their own vehicle for this tour). Fresh water is supplied from our private well, though we recommend bringing bottled drinking water. All electrical service in the area is underground to preserve the breathtaking views. There is no public street lighting, allowing guests to fully enjoy the star-filled night skies. In the nearby town of Álvaro Obregón, located about 10 km before reaching Santo Tomas, guests can find most groceries, food, and beverages.
