Large light room with sea views
Description
Our house is an old vicarage overlooking Chesil Beach on the island of Portland. It is 5 minutes walk down the hill to the beach, Quiddles cafe and the pub. The room is large and spacious with sea views over Chesil and across to Weymouth Bay. There is a table for working or breakfast and a sofa to relax. You have your own private bathroom with a sunset view from your shower. You are welcome to use our kitchen or living room. There is private parking at the front of the house and a terrace. The space The house is a 4 storey manse (a Methodist vicarage). It was built in the 1850s of portland stone. I live here with Pat, my partner, and our daughter, Maggie, and cat, Poppy. We have been here since 2007. We are architects and the house is our work in progress! Your room, on the first floor, is recently decorated, light and sunny with a large bay window with sea views. The double bed is formed of two zipped together singles so can either be a double or two singles. There is a sofa/day bed which can be made up for a child. We also have a travel cot. There is a driveway at the front of the house to park. Guest access You are welcome to share our living, kitchen and dining areas. We have outdoor spaces for drying clothes. Other things to note We are currently remodelling our kitchen and dining area which is on pause. It remains unfinished but homely, functional and comfortable. I have included pictures so you know what to expect.
