Description
Set within extensive gardens, in a tranquil rural hamlet, in the quieter NW corner of the Lake District National Park. Quiet, yet easily accessible by road and rail (9 miles) and within walking distance of the local pub. It is equidistant between the towns of Keswick, Cockermouth and Wigton. The nearest Wainwright (Binsey) is walkable from the front door. The house is 4/5 bedrooms, has a large family dining table, 3 lounges, each with stoves (one convertible to a bedroom). The space New on the market, lovingly refurbished to the highest standards. This is our holiday home, chosen to be close to where I grew up and to escape to the beauty of the Lake District. Contemporary internal decoration, but all original character of the buildings retained. Fully-equipped and large kitchen as we love to cook. The farmhouse is located around a courtyard, with attached stables and byres, extensive gardens and field. Guest access Guests will have access to the farmhouse, attached stables and byres. Byres can be used to store bikes. One standalone stable will be closed to guests. Other things to note Up to two dogs allowed downstairs, but not upstairs or additional cleaning charges may be incurred.
