Located up in the foothills of Santa Fe, this contemporary casita offers big stunning views, a quiet retreat, and a relaxing space with all the comforts of home. This serene two bedroom home is just 5 minutes from some of Santa Fe’s glorious hiking trails and 15 minutes to the heart of Santa Fe with all the City has to offer. The space INSIDE Ideal space for a family or small group of friends, the casita features two bedrooms, a full bath, and a combined kitchen, dining, and living area. Large windows and sliding doors frame the expansive views from inside the house. One bedroom has a queen-sized bed; the second bedroom has two twin beds. All beds have new Helix mattresses (as of November 2025.) Both bedrooms have large wardrobes. A washer/dryer in the house makes this house ideal for a longer stay. Reliable Wifi and a smart TV equipped with Roku means you can stay as connected and entertained as you want. (TV is not connected to cable but offers access to most streaming services). A selection of games and a bluetooth enabled sound bar that can be connected to your playlists and podcasts adds to the possibilities of your visit. A newly installed mini-split air conditioning unit will keep you cool in the heat of the summer while baseboard heat throughout the house keeps the space cozy in the winter. DINING The fully equipped kitchen includes a small gas stove, microwave, coffee maker, and dishwasher . You’ll also find all the dishes, cutlery, and cookware you'll need. Some basic essentials (coffee, tea, sugar, olive oil, vinegar, salt and pepper and a few other spices) are stocked in the pantry cupboard. And if you want a break from cooking, take a short drive to Harry’s Roadhouse, located just a few minutes down the road or to Cafe Fina, just a little bit further away down Old Las Vegas Highway for some local flavor. OUTSIDE Enjoy your coffee or yoga practice in the morning or sip a cocktail in the evening watching one of our glorious sunsets on the casita's portal. Situated in the foothills of the Sangre De Cristo mountain range, the casita is surrounded by Junipers and Pinon trees. Concrete floors, contemporary furniture, and selections from your hosts’ contemporary art collection offer a sophisticated and comfortable stay in this home that blends modern style with a more traditional wood and stone cabin. Your host’s property has been featured in Departures Magazine and most recently in the publication Santa Fe Modern, highlighting the charm of combining mid-century, modern, and contemporary design with Santa Fe’s more traditional mountain desert architecture. ARRIVING Parking is available for up to three cars The county road to the casita and the driveway are charming but are not paved. A higher clearance vehicle (ideally with 4WD) is best for a more comfortable ride and for coming up the driveway which is a bit steep at the top. Most times of the year the property is easily accessible by car, however, during very heavy rains in the summer and large snowstorms in the winter, the road and driveway can be compromised. If you are coming in the winter in particular, a four-wheel drive vehicle is essential. An automatic gate as you enter the property is operated with a clicker, which will be provided upon your arrival. The casita is on a 10-acre property and adjacent to the home where your host lives. The casita is completely private from the house; your host is available to help make your stay comfortable and offer itinerary/activity recommendations if desired.
