Off the beaten track, for those seeking spoiling, secluded celebrations, romantic escapes; indulgent time and space just for you, away from the busy demands of life. A space for re-connection, immersed in nature, surrounded by stillness, birdsong and the wind in the trees. Where every detail nudges you to slow down, relax, take time out & enjoy the moment. Breathe in the rolling views down the valley and out to sea, set in the gloriously tranquil 700 acre National Trust Buckland Abbey Estate. The space Your idyllic Hideaway - a bespoke crafted double shepherds hut - is tucked away in its own beech copse overlooking the Abbey, gardens, valley and sea beyond. Your king sized French oak bead lies beneath the curved glass stargazing ceiling with a rolltop bath big enough for two with deluge shower over and heated towel rail to keep your robes and bath sheets toasty. A cream wood burning stove opposite is perfectly positioned to watch the flames from your bed or your bath! The glass connecting section links the front hut to the back one where guests will find a miny galley kitchen, gas fridge with small icebox - for G&T ice and a champagne cooler jacket - chilling your bottle in 10minutes. The gas hob and oven are set into the granite work surface next to the Belfast sink. A sliding door separates your fully plumbed in loo and basin. Whilst ample wood is provided for your stay and the woodburner is so romantic to curl up in front of either on the sumptuous sheepskin beanbags or from your Egyptian linen draped bed, your hideaway also has central heating so you will be wonderfully toasty regardless. All electrics are on a 12v system with charging points available for anything you could charge in a car. Guest access Guests will need to prebook their arrival transfer with luggage from their parking (a 10min walk) up to their Hideaway via our 6 wheeled ex army Supacat. Parking is free and transfers can be booked at either 3-3.30pm or 4-4.30pm should guests wish to arrive outside of these times or be delayed we can arrange for a key and map to be available to collect and will transfer your luggage up at 7pm. Other things to note We offer a small menu of home cooked meals and breakfast items which guests can pre-order. Your hideaway also has a small honesty cellar with a selection of our favourite wines and fizz.
