The Crib’ at Whispering Woods, is a charming wooden cottage nestled amongst the native bushland and seasonal mountain creek. The cottage is part of a village like atmosphere set on a stunning 20-acre farm at the base of Mount Roland, bordering the Dasher River. Conveniently positioned on the road to Cradle Mountain, this hidden luxury stay is also a mere 10-minute drive from the picturesque tourist town of Sheffield. The space Within your accommodation you’ll find everything one needs with a large bedroom, kitchenet and bathroom all within a comfy well-lit space with views from every angle. The cosy timber floored bedroom is furnished with antique furniture, a king bed, quality linen, duck feather pillows and a comfortable armchair to keep snug around a crackling log fire. The adjoining kitchenet features a small dining table, crockery, espresso machine, bar fridge and a complimentary local produce breakfast thoughtfully bundled by your hosts. Enjoy a glass of red wine next to the fire on a winters evening or a BBQ on the veranda in spring, ‘The Crib’ is the perfect place to relax and unwind on a romantic getaway or weekend adventure. Please read carefully if booking for more than two guests. The Crib can only sleep two guests. If you book for more than two visitors, you will automatically book ‘The Shanty’. A cosy wooden building in approximately 10 meters distance. This setup is meant for families and group bookings only. The Shanty can accommodate up to two guest. Two generous king size single beds, a basic breakfast bar with espresso machine, an armchair, wardrobe and private outdoor bathroom with bathtub are part of the package. Please check out the listing for pictures and more descriptions. Other things to note Please be aware : Whispering Woods is a small hobby farm. Besides running a small flock of sheep we also home chickens, a rooster, an alpaca, ducks, guinea fowl and two friendly dogs which roam the property freely. During your stay you might hear some of the birds and you definitely come to meet the dogs. Please make sure your are comfortable with this before choosing to book our accommodation.
