Moonbird beach shack is your home away from home! Perfectly positioned directly across the road from the pristine surf beach of Beaumaris. A great base to explore the Bay of Fires, Freycinet, St Helens, world-class off-road cycling, and East Coast of Tasmania. The space Our shack is a unique space to watch the moon and the sun rise. Enjoy yachts or yellow tailed black cockatoos glide by, from the comfort of the spacious deck or cozy living room. Stroll or swim the sublime expansive beach directly across the road from the shack. Enjoy a coffee or tea on the beach and let the sun warm your day.When the moon rises there is no better place to be. Set up a picnic on the sand, pour a glass of wine with perhaps a beach fire; our favorite evening ritual. Two master bedrooms each with dreamy comfortable queen beds to make sleep and relaxation a priority during your Moonbird experience. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to prepare the most delicious feast from local produce collected along your travels. The pantry offers a variety of teas including, organic English Breakfast, local organic herbal teas, fresh ground Villano coffee, hot chocolate, cookies to enjoy with your cup of tea by the fire, and marshmallows to roast over the outdoor fire after your days adventures. There are two ways to enjoy your coffee at Moonbird, French press or stove top espresso. Retreat to the lounge and enjoy the view, get lost in a book or be entertained watching a movie, warm, cozy and relaxing. When the weather is cooler there is nothing better than relaxing by our Nectar wood fire heater. Enjoy bath rituals with beautiful Aspa products, make time to soak in the deep bath. If your returning from the beach the private outdoor shower is perfect or take your shower inside, depending on your mood. Complete laundry, with washing machine and dryer; including ironing facilities. Locking garage with a full mountain bike workshop and hangout, with workstand, storage for your gear, stools for your friends, and wall-hanging storage for six bikes. Large outdoor deck with BBQ and outdoor dining setting. Moonbird is the perfect base while exploring the East Coast of Tasmania, nestled between The Bay of Fires and Freycinet, not to mention the stunning Beaumaris surf beach on your door step. The world-class St Helens & Derby mountain bike trails are in easy access, along with hundreds of kilometers of excellent gravel forest tracks that you can reach without getting in a car. (Note: if you have visited Moonbird previously and noticed that this is a different listing, it's because we bought the place from the original owners, Clif and Ingrid. The grounds are yours to enjoy, our thriving native garden is an oasis to enjoy when seeking time out surrounded by bird life. The beach directly across the road from the shack is the most beautiful playground to explore; most of the time you will feel like you are the only person there. Use the garage to park your mountain bike after enjoying the St Helens MTB tracks. In addition to the famous downhill tracks at St Helens and Derby, there are endless gravel roads and forest tracks right behind Beaumaris, extending as far as the eye can see, north, south and west. You can ride on gravel all the way to St Mary's, or to the summit of the Lola Tier tracks at St Helens, as well as countless other options. A gravel bike with 38c knobbies will get you pretty far, though some tracks can get a bit rocky and steep. Registration Details 0432014
