This vegetarian and substance-free space includes an event lodge, meditation sanctuary, cater-ready kitchen, 7 cabins and camping for private groups of 10-40 people seeking to slow down and connect in the majestic redwoods. The camp is surrounded by 27-acres of redwood wilderness, 1 mile from Pacific beaches, and 12-minutes from the town of Mendocino with great restaurants & shops. For your rental, you’ll have private access to: - 1500 sq ft, The Lodge is perfect for group activities, dancing and dining (fits up to 30 yoga mats or 40 seats in circle). - the cater-ready Industrial Kitchen (a part of The Lodge) for cooking and storing groceries. - the light-filled Sanctuary for meditation, yoga, and healing work (a 500 sq ft gathering space--fits 12 yoga mats or 20 seats in circle). - 3 newly renovated cabins that sleep 5-7 each with queen beds, single beds and bunkbeds, comes with cozy linens and space heaters. - a private Water Tower room with queen bed, comes with cozy linens and a space heater, hardwood floors and redwood furnishings (requires walking up stairs to 2nd story), 1/2 bath is outside on ground floor. - a communal Bathhouse with 2 separate sides that have 2 showers with hot water, 5 stalls, and 4 sinks in total--one side has been beautifully renovated. - the Magic Meadow for outdoor meals, campfires, and group activities. - the Sunset Meadow for guests to pitch their own tents or to set up glamping structures (15+ camping tents OR 5-6 large glamping structures). - a rugged trail through 27 acres of redwood forest In total, we currently have 14 beds (7 queens, 3 singles, and 2 bunkbeds) and the remaining accommodations are B.Y.O. tent camping. Coming in March 2024 we will have a 5th cabin bringing our total to 20 beds (2 additional private rooms and a bunkhouse). We have a parking lot for up to 20 cars. We encourage carpooling, and can accommodate a maximum of 30 cars along our driveway if needed. Your own transportation is required for traveling to town or visiting parks/beaches nearby. We do not have a charging station for electric cars, but can provide an extension cord if needed for an extra fee. There are EV charging stations 20 minutes away in Fort Bragg. Each cabin is a 1-2 minute walking distance from the parking lot on gravel pathways. Guests will need to carry their luggage or we have a wagon that can be uses. Two cabins have flat walking path and ramp access. In The Lodge we have an upright piano, JBL sound system, disco ball, hue lighting, and floor chairs for group activities, yoga, movements, and dancing. The Industrial Kitchen is cater-ready and fully stocked with cookware and dinnerware for up to 40 people, has 3 industrial fridges, 1 industrial freezer, 6 top stove with griddle and 2 ovens, dish bussing sinks, coffee maker, and hot water kettle. All dishes must be hand-washed. We have 4 folding tables available to set up for welcoming guests, meal buffets, coffee/tea, and dish bussing. Food and beverages are not included. Catering is highly recommended and we know amazing local chefs we can put you in touch with. All cabins come with cozy bedding and space heaters. Campsites require bringing your own tents and camping gear. We ask all guests to bring their own towels. This helps reduce water usage—a precious resource in these parts. The Mendocino coast has temperate weather year round. It’s generally sunny and mild in summer, and cold and wet in winter, with a chance of fog magic anytime. Please dress warm and cozy and bring layers for summer months. - Summer Season (May-October): Typically sunny or foggy, 60-70°F (15-21°C) daytime, 48-55°F (8-13°C) at night* - Winter Season (November-April): Typically cold or rainy, 45-55°F (7-13°C) daytime, 35-45°F (1-7°C) at night* *Please note: Coastal humidity is usually high making it feel cooler than the temperature reads. All cabins are kept warm with space heaters during the cold months. The lodge and sanctuary are kept warm with wood burning stoves, which we can help you start and show you how to use. The campfire is available year-round unless there are high winds or a county fire restriction is in place (a rare occurrence). The bathhouse has 2 showers with hot water. We recommend guests bring a robe and sandals for pre/post shower. Four picnic tables can be used in the gardens and meadow for communal dining. Two campfires are also available for use. THE LISTED NIGHTLY RATE IS A BASE RATE FOR UP TO 10 PEOPLE and is adjusted to seasonal demand. After 10 people, the additional cost is $25/visiting guest/night up to 40 people (counting all participants, facilitators and assistants, whether staying on or off site). This provides large groups an economical overall cost per head, while keeping the cost affordable for smaller groups. For example, if you have 20 people in your group, calculate the rate this way: [Base Rate Listed] + [10 people x $25] = Size Adjusted Rate per night. Airbnb limits the total to 16 people, so the final headcount and any additional payment can be adjusted after booking. To make your time here extra special, sound meditation and breathwork healing sessions can be offered for your group by your hosts, Julian & Nathaniel. As trained facilitators in the healing arts, they enjoy sharing these practices with guests. This offering is optional and at an additional cost. Please inquire in advanced for more details, rates, and availability before you arrive. Additional add-ons such as yoga, forest walks, ecstatic dance, craft workshops, massage, etc. are available. Please inquire. You'll have private access to all rentable spaces described in this listing. Please do not wander into the private residence area to the SW of the water tower or into the neighboring property to the West. Private spaces only permitted to full-time residents include the caretaker’s home, tool and material sheds, horse barn, and lumber storage area, which are all located on the SW corner of camp. We live on-site at the caretaker’s home with our friendly dog and outdoor cats. You’ll have full privacy of the cabin described in the listing. We’re available to help you during your stay when we are here. Otherwise, you’ll only see us to greet you when you arrive, to tend a fire, to assist with other guests needs, working on the land, and when we occasionally drive by to come and go from camp. Our dog or cats may pay you a friendly visit, although they tend to reside at the caretaker's home most of the time. The Mendocino coast is arguably one of the most enchanting coastlines in the world. Within minutes from camp, you can explore a number of bluff-lined beaches, rivers, and state parks with beautiful hiking trails. During summer months, you can take a guided kayak tour through ocean caves launching from Van Damme beach! We are 12 minutes from the historic town of Mendocino. In town you'll find two organic grocery stores, delicious restaurants, cafes, and quaint shops for books and gifts. The Brickery has incredible brick oven pizza you can eat in their garden for lunch, and we can't recommend Fog Eater Cafe for dinner or Sunday brunch—our favorite! Don't miss out on taking a short hike along the bluffs around town, especially for sunset! Local events are happening year round, especially makers markets in the fall and during the holidays! Ask us for recommendations. We have a parking lot for up to 16 cars. We encourage carpooling, and can accommodate a maximum of 30 cars along our driveway if needed. Your own transportation is required for traveling to town or visiting parks/beaches nearby. Each cabin is a 1-2 minute walking distance from the parking lot on gravel pathways. Guests will need to carry their luggage (including rolling suitcases). We have a wagon that can be used if luggage is too heavy. To create a peaceful, sacred atmosphere where authentic and playful connection can emerge amongst campers, we ask all guests to honor and observe the following during their visit: 1. We are a substance-free space. Please leave at home all recreational, medicinal, and ceremonial drugs or alcohol. 2. Our kitchen is a vegetarian facility. The cooking of any animal products on the land is not permitted, which includes meat and fish. Dairy and eggs are okay. 3. The property is a non-smoking space. Smoking is not permitted in or around any of our buildings or trees. For tobacco use, please use the designated tobacco smoking area located in the parking lot. 4. We are a fragrance-free facility. We ask that you not wear colognes or perfumes during your stay due to allergy sensitivities. We may use our own all natural, high quality incense or essential oil sprays during healing work. 5. Please participate in keeping the communal spaces clean and organized, especially the kitchen with dishes after each meal. Please treat our land and spaces like they are a home you love.
