Wombat Rest Tiny House

Welcome to Wombat Rest, a cosy off-grid tiny house nestled on an acre block in a quiet residential street of the Yarra Valley. Located 15 minutes from Warburton, this little gem is the perfect spot for retreating to the peace of the bush, only a short drive from beautiful Yarra Valley wineries. Our guests love relaxing in the hammock on the deck, listening to the birdsong, and snuggling up around an open fire. We can’t wait to welcome you to our forest retreat! The space Wombat Rest tiny house is an off-grid retreat powered by solar, gas, and using 100% rainwater. The cabin has a queen loft bed and is suitable for two guests. There is a full kitchen, split system air-conditioning (auto climate control), fully integrated sound system, and wifi (please note, being a regional area internet connection and speeds are not as reliable as in the city). The composting toilet system uses no water, only the sawdust provided, and is otherwise indistinguishable from a standard toilet. Essentials you would expect are provided, including tea and coffee. We have a yoga mat, books and board games available for you to enjoy. Outdoors, a generous deck with retractable awning and fire pit invite guests to take a breath and reconnect with nature. Firewood and fire starting materials provided. Wombat Rest is located in a residential street with neighbours either side. There is vegetation along the perimeter which creates privacy for the majority of the property (see photos). Guest access All information needed to access Wombat Rest (address, self check-in details etc.) will be sent 48 hours before your booking. You will have exclusive access to the property, with no other dwellings on site. Information of activities and dining in the surrounding area and everything you need to know about the tiny house will be provided with check-in information. Other things to note There is an unfenced creek on the property, and given the loft style accommodation, the property is not suitable for children, other than infants. There is a single security camera on the property with vision of the driveway and front gate only, so we can see who is accessing the property.
