Description

Come back to nature and recharge in a peaceful spot, rural but not isolated. Our barn conversion has a large, spacious sitting room, wooden floors and although the kitchen and bathroom are basic and in need of refurbishment our home is lovely and the garden beautiful with both lawn and wild places. We are offering the place at a cheaper rate than advised as we have 4 cats that need feeding. It is a loved & lived in family home The space This is a Stone built converted barn. Very rustic with thick walls, simple and beautiful. The front door leads through to the snug and small kitchen downstairs and a few steps beyond take you to the large and spacious sitting room with huge velux windows and French doors out into the lovely garden. The sitting room has 2 large sofas and a solid oak table with six chairs. There is also a toilet downstairs with washing machine. The kitchen is very basic with old fashioned gas cooker, fridge and dishwasher, it is in need of refurbishment. Up the wooden staircase is a small bathroom with a bath, toilet and sink (no shower). One bedroom has a super king-size mattress on a futon base and the other bedroom has a single bed. Both have wooden floors and Velux windows. The garden outside the sitting room has chairs and table and then a lawn, to the side is a vegetable garden, a trampoline and a large cabin in the process of being converted. Guest access You will have access to the whole house and garden but not the cabin as it still unfinished. There is a steepish and narrow path with small steps going down to the front door, unfortunately not suitable for wheelchairs. Other things to note If you are interested in this we could speak on the phone to talk about any other details and what taking care of the cats would entail. Basically it’s very simple, just leaving dried food and water out all of the time and they have a catflap so they can come and go as they please. If you were away for more than a day or two our neighbours or friends would happily feed them.
