Welcome to Meadowbank, a traditional cottage overlooking the beautiful Shiskine Valley in the south-west part of the Isle of Arran. Whether you’re walking, cycling or touring, our comfortable house provides a tranquil and relaxing setting for a short visit, a longer stay or a therapeutic break here with us. We welcome you to share our home, with your own double bedroom & shower room, and use of our cosy living room, dining room, kitchen & garden with great views over the valley. LGBTQ+ welcome. The space We offer a bright comfortable double room with your own adjoining private shower room and toilet. The bed, bedding and pillows are all new and good quality. We have a cosy living room with open fire, TV and lots to read, and a dining space in the garden room overlooking the valley. You are welcome to make use of our kitchen at any time to make drinks or meals, and we can also provide some DIY breakfast ingredients by prior arrangement for a small fee. Outside, there's a private garden with informal seating areas for you to use. Guest access • Your own private double room and shower room with toilet, and full use of the kitchen, living room and dining room at any time. • Off road parking • Secure bike & equipment storage • Free wi-fi • Garden seating & eating area • Laundry facilities Other things to note Torbeg is a great base to explore the western, more ‘Hebridean’, side of the island, offering peaceful beaches, ancient sites and fantastic walks. With fabulous views of the valley and of Arran’s northern mountains, we are also less than a mile away from the village of Blackwaterfoot with all the local facilities you could wish for, including a general store, garage, artesan baker, hotel bar and restaurant, golf course and one of the best beaches on the whole island. If you’re walking the Arran Coastal Way but want to stay in just one place, for a small fee, we can also drop you off and pick you up at your convenience as you complete the various stages around the island. We are also on the 324 (north island) bus route. We are sorry that we cannot accommodate dogs as we have sheep nearby, and our drive is open to the road.
