Description
The Finger Lakes Cider House is a family of hard-working dreamers trying to leave this world a little better than we found it. We grow a wildly diverse ecosystem of plants, animals, microbes, and ideas. This place is different. Come stay with us! The Loft is a three bedroom apartment renovated from the barn's original hayloft, with hand-detailed, reclaimed decor and a stunning view of our farm/orchard. We offer a complimentary bottle of cider and two vouchers for cider flights with every stay. The space Cider Loft guests have private access to the three bedroom, two bathroom, full kitchen loft above the Cider House tasting room. Enjoy clean, minimalist design and decor with reclaimed, custom wood detail from wood harvested on the farm and original barn. The Loft offers a panoramic view of the orchard and farm along with a bit of Cayuga Lake from the kitchen window. Firewood is provided along with access to our property's firepits and fire cauldrons! The Loft has a full kitchen with cookware, dishes, basic seasonings, olive oil, complimentary local coffee beans, a coffee grinder, french press, microwave, toaster oven, and a complimentary, chilled bottle of cider waiting for you in the fridge! You will receive a complimentary 750 ml bottle of cider and two vouchers for free cider flights with your stay. All other services offered by the Finger Lakes Cider House, including our organic, farm-to-table menu and farm store are available for purchase during hours of operation. The Cider House offers a year-round farm kitchen.... an estate farm-to-table eating experience with organic ingredients grown and raised on our farm or within 30 miles regionally. The farm offers a number of seasonal u-pick crops including: strawberries, apples, and flowers. (U-pick availability can be subject to change). Be sure to check with the Cider House directly for seasonal hours of service, u-pick crops, and special events, like seasonal Friday Night Farm Jams with estate BBQ (typically offered Memorial Day through mid- October). The full menu winds down an hour before close, but small bites and cider service are still available. High speed WIFI is available, along with a Samsung smart TV. There is some muffled noise transfer from the tasting room during hours of operation, 11am- 5pm (standard wine trail hours) during the week; extended weekend hours Memorial Day through October including 9:30 pm Friday for our live music shows and 8pm Saturday. Friday night music is scheduled until 9pm and crowds are usually fully gone by 9:30. Sometimes the band takes until 10pm to pack up. Extended hours and show times shift earlier as we head into late autumn. Winter hours are 11-5pm daily. Other listings on our property: airbnb.com/h/maplegroveyurt airbnb.com/h/walnutgroveyurt Guest access Guests enjoy a private exterior staircase leading to private entrance with custom keypad lock code. They have full, private access to The Loft itself and shared access to all the Cider House amenities, including the deck over the back lawn and fire pits (with firewood and kindling provided). The listing says that we are a 19 min walk from the lake, but that is an autogenerated field from Airbnb based on geographic location unfortunately, not public lake access. The closest public lake access is Taughannock State Park, a beautiful park with hiking, a famous local waterfall, and access to Cayuga Lake-- about a 10-12 min drive or Lodi Point, a beautiful quiet little park with access to Seneca Lake-- 15-20 min drive. Other things to note The pillows and comforters we provide are goose down. We have a monitored fire alarm system that is wired directly to the fire department. Details are left in the space on how to avoid triggering the alarm when cooking and steps to take if an alarm is triggered by mistake.
