Unique, cozy, and comfortable, our little retreat is nestled at the foot of the medieval Montfort Castle, a true gem overlooking the Dordogne River. Perfect for a solo stay or a getaway for two, in the heart of the Périgord Noir. Fully equipped, peaceful, and close to nature and the region’s most beautiful sights. Just 200 meters away, the river invites you to relax and start numerous nature walks. Also enjoy the village’s charm with its friendly restaurant and free parking right in front of the accommodation. Designed for 2 guests, this cozy retreat combines charm and functionality: a King Size bed for royal nights, a clever kitchenette integrated into a custom wardrobe, a comfy sofa, a modern shower room, separate toilets, a fridge, a washing machine, and a pellet stove that warms the space during chilly winter evenings. Cool in summer, cozy in winter, for an unforgettable stay all year round. Guest access Montfort, a peaceful village just 3 km from Sarlat, is ideally located at the heart of a region rich in activities: canoeing, stand-up paddleboarding, hot air balloon rides, greenways, iconic castles (Castelnaud, Beynac, Milandes), Lascaux Caves, Padirac Chasm, Marqueyssac Gardens, as well as the remarkable villages of Sarlat-la-Canéda, Domme, La Roque-Gageac, and Beynac. Our detached house features a private garden and free parking right in front of the cottage. A friendly restaurant is nearby, and yoga classes are available just 600 meters away. You can also enjoy numerous hiking trails in the surrounding area.
