This peaceful, centrally-located home is perfect for your Grants Pass trip. Whether you need a short stay or longer term accommodations, The Honu is a great place to relax and unwind. The backyard has been curated by a master gardener & features a walking path and waterfall. Plenty of backyard seating under the covered patio makes this an ideal spot in all seasons. The house is light, bright, and filled with unique items from around the world. Co-host (Gramma) is on site at times. No parties! The space The home is off A Street down a longer driveway. It is the last house on that driveway so off the actual street making it much quieter. It is painted tan with white/cream trim. The home is decorated in a tropical ecclectic style meant to make you feel vacation relaxed. The master bedroom features an adjustable king size bed, electric fireplace and TV. The second bedroom contains a queen size bed as well as a fold out chair that can be made into a single bed. The living room sectional is easily converted into a queen size bed with bedding in the storage compartment of the couch (left side). There is a TV in the armoire as well as yoga mats and band exercise equipment in the decorative metal container. There are toys for the little ones inside the carved trunk and games for the family on the lower built-in shelf. Kitchen has everything you need to make a delicious meal and the dining table seats 6. Coffee maker, french press, and electric tea kettle provided. If there is any food in the cupboards or fridge you can help yourself to it! Outside you will find the gorgeous backyard featuring a beautiful waterfall and lots of comfortable seating. The hot tub is also located under the covered patio as well as a hanging hammock chair. Walk through the garden path and experience all different botanical delights throughout the seasons. WARNING: if you are allergic to cats this is not the place for you! When not rented my grandma’s cat is able to roam in the space and we are a pet friendly air bnb. Guest access Guests will have access to the kitchen, 2 bedrooms, bathroom, backyard, patio area, and laundry room. The right side of the house, separated by locked French doors, will be occupied by my grandmother, who owns the house, when she is not off traveling and that is the only space not available to guests. She has her own entrance. If you’re lucky enough to meet her, you’ll find she is a gem of a human and very accommodating. Other things to note Dryer is coin op but the coins just fall right under the slot and there are plenty of quarters to re-use for this purpose. Hot tub operation- the hot tub will be set to around 100 degrees and the up arrow will turn it up/on. Hit the jets or lights button for jets and lights. To turn jets off, hit the temp arrow button down after hitting jets button again. Living room fireplace operation- remote control on mantle above fireplace. TV- TV is loctated in the armoire in the living room. There is also a television in the master bedroom armoire. Roku remotes and you can sign into your accounts. Just remember to sign out! The second bedroom can get bogged down on power since the hot tub is on the same circuit. If possible, avoid hair dryers or leaving too many things plugged into the outlets in this room to avoid flipping a breaker. ***PLEASE NOTE*** While we aim to have the hot tub available for all guests, there are occasions where previous guests leave it in an unsuitable condition and it has or be drained and refilled. Unfortunately this puts the next guest at a disadvantage as it takes a full 48 hours for it to heat back up. If this happens to you, we are so sorry, but we aren’t able to give a refund. Only book if you accept these conditions.
