Private lake home on Big Lake Santa Fe is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy gorgeous sunset views. The rental unit is an upstairs separated apartment. It has a cedar interior with a cabin feel that has been renovated with new appliances, flooring and updated bathroom with walk in shower. Bring your boat to cruise the lake or fish and tie up at our dock. Enjoy swimming, water skiing, fishing or just relaxing on the deck. The guest suite was built in the 90's and was recently renovated with modern upgrades. Enjoy coffee on the private balcony overlooking the lake or relax in our Adirondack chairs on the dock to enjoy a gorgeous view of the sunset. This is a great place to relax and unwind as it is very private and quiet. But if you are the adventurous type there is lots to do on the lake and in the surrounding area. Lake Santa Fe is a large 5800 acre lake with very clear water. We have a nice swim area with white sand bottom and no cypress trees. You can bring a boat and tie up at our dock. Fishing is great from the dock or boat, you can actually see the fish swimming around the dock. Two Kayaks and a canoe are available if you enjoy paddling around the lake. Relax at the end of the day sitting by the lakeside fire pit. The kitchen is fully equipped, if you choose to cook, or enjoy a variety of restaurants within a few minutes drive. Appliances include a stove top, air fryer/convection counter top oven, microwave oven, drip coffee maker, Keurig style coffee maker, toaster and refrigerator. We provide a variety of pots and pans, bowls and kitchen ware. There is also oil, spices, and salt and pepper. We provide coffee (regular and decaf), filters , sugar and alternatives and creamer for the 12 cup drip coffee maker. There is a small variety of Keurig pods also. We have a basket of breakfast snacks, oatmeal and grits and a basket of popcorn, hot chocolate, and snack items for you. There is a charcoal grill outside with charcoal, lighter fluid and barbeque utensils provided. Fighting Germs and Viruses • We use enhanced cleaning and sanitizing procedures. The disinfectant is hospital grade to kill most germs and viruses including covid-19 • Cleaning supplies and disinfectants are provided in the supply closet. ☆Additional information We're available by phone/text if you should need anything. The futon convertible beds can be firm so we provide you with a 2 inch memory foam topper which makes it super comfortable. The futons create 2 full beds or one king size bed in the living area. We provide a fully equipped kitchen in case you decide you want to stay-in and cook. The entry gate and front door have digital locks so that we can set your personal access code. Please understand our property is not for parties or events. The property is not wheelchair accessible as it is on the second story. Guests should be prepared to carry all personal items up/ down the flight of stairs. We will consider pets based on the situation. If you have any special requests please don't hesitate to ask as we would be glad to try to accommodate any request:) **No smoking, including e-cigarettes in home. Guest access The property is secure with fully fenced yard and electronic gate. Apartment has keypad door locks. You will use your personal Key code to access the gate and front door. It has lake access with a dock and fenders to tie up your boat. Other things to note Close to Keystone Heights and Melrose with restaurants, grocery, and activities nearby. It is about 30 minutes from Gainesville and Univ. of Florida. We provide a Guest Book with detailed information about the apartment and how to use appliances and amenities.
