It has a lawn for outdoor sitting and recreational activities Cottage has a Indoor fireplace to keep you warm and cozy on beautiful winter days, big Venetian windows, and high ceiling with Skylight to ensure you have uninterrupted view of snow capped mountains from all corners of the house with ample sunlight, and fresh air. The cottage has a wooden staircase leading to the area from where you can get a spectacular view of the Himalayas and the Garur valley. The surrounding lush green forest adds to the tranquility of the overall experience. Food Arrangements : To make your stay enjoyable and carefree we have a dedicated cook and a house help to assist you with your food requirements. We have separate kitchens to cook veg and non-veg. At Tathastu you can enjoy your day relaxing in the lap of nature in peace and serenity and if you are lucky you can also spot some rare birds and wild animals nearby. Darkness at night here is something to enjoy, you can gaze the stars in the clear sky, free from light pollution, and call it a day. The cottage is very well connected by road with dedicated parking for the cottage and all basic amenities needed to enjoy a comfortable stay. Other things to note FACILITIES: • Water purifier which stores up to 4L of water • Smart TV with OTT subscription of Zee5, Hotstar, SonyLiv, Netflix and Amazon Prime etc. • Power backup, however, we advise to use it wisely especially in the snowy/rainy days • 2 portable Oil room Heaters (De'longhe) • 3 Outdoor cameras ( One facing car parking) • Dedicated parking space and lodging facilities for chauffeur (Chargeable @350 per Night) • Food Items not part of meal plan will be charged as per menu (subject to availability). • We provide barbeque facility and bonfire at additional charges, please inform, and consult with caretaker in advance to avail and get status (subject to availability) PLEASE HELP US TO ENSURE: • Free the caretaker by 10:30 PM at night, so that he gets rest to host you the next day • Check-in and check-out on time, so that we have time to ready the house for our next guests. • Avoid lighting fireplace by your-self, caretaker can do it for you if needed (firing wood is costly and will be charged additionally) • Please avoid smoking inside the house as it is a wooden cottage. • Get your essential supplies, medications with you. • Take sticks when you go for a walk or hike. • Do not leave premises in the dark to avoid any confrontation with animals. • Pack extra required items for the kids if you have them accompanying you. • Pick your preferred snacks, drinks etc (if any) on the way as the nearest market is 3 kms from the cottage. • Do not litter and use dustbins. • Please use power hungry appliance like room heater, geysers etc judiciously, please don’t switch on all appliances at once, please ask house help for more information. THINGS TO DO: • Birdwatching, Trekking and Hiking, Star gazing. • There are many other unexplored treks, but please check with caretaker or locals before exploration. • Baijnath temple, Anasakti Ashram, Sumitra Nandan Pant Museum, Laxmi Ashram, Rudradhari fall, shawl factory, Kot Brahamri, Gwaldam. • Day outing and camping near Koshi River • There are longer treks as well, which requires 1-2 day of exploration please contact authorized guides for more details.
