The building dates back to the 1780s and was reputedly used by whisky smugglers ...hence its name, Smugglers Buildings. It is one of two flats in the building and is accessed via a staircase and courtyard with access directly onto a carparking area . Despite the village's name, the Isle of Whithorn is attached to the mainland via a historic causeway.... so no need to worry about ferries!
