The space We have spent a lot of labor and love renovating this cute Matlacha cottage to a modern standard but wanted to maintain the 'character' of Matlacha. For anyone needing a 2nd bedroom for all or part of their stay in our 'Sunset' apartment, we have a separate studio apartment with kitchenette and bathroom located at the front of the property available for weekly rental. Guest access This is a duplex property and each apartment has it's own separate access and has it's own patio. The dock area and access to kayaks is shared (exclusive use of owner's 4000 lb boatlift is available for weekly rental at $50 per week; pls contact me for availability). There is one off-street parking space per unit on the shelled area at the front of the property. There is a shared laundry room at the front of the property with free use of washer and dryer, and iron. Other things to note This is a non-smoking property. For the enjoyment of all current and future guests, we cater to non-smokers as smoking is not allowed inside or outside within the property line. We have installed a UV-C central air sanitizing system which kills airborne viruses and bacteria and for our guests' peace of mind we have invested in UV-C light disinfecting units that kill airborne viruses and sterilize surfaces. Matlacha was hit by hurricane Ian in September 2022. Our property has been repaired and is rental-ready. Some items of furniture were replaced so will differ from photos. Some restaurants and stores have not re-opened, but several are open to Welcome you to our island.
