Set just a stone’s throw from Sandsend Beach, on a Private Road, Thordisa (Thor’s Goddess in old Norse) will be your home from home. This unique property has been thoughtfully renovated and furnished. Offering comfortable, cosy living for up to 6 guests in a fabulous location, this is the perfect property for those looking for a coastal holiday with family or friends. The space Porch Step through the front door and down the step into the porch, where you can store your coats and shoes before walking through the stable door into the Kitchen. Kitchen/Diner The cosy kitchen/dining room has a country kitchen with large sash window looking out onto East Row Beck, with a small side window giving a glimpse of the beach and sea beyond. Here you will find everything you need all in one place, including a Belfast sink, range cooker, microwave, kettle, toaster, dishwasher and washing machine. Attached to the kitchen there is a separate pantry with a fridge freezer, a cleaning cupboard and a rear porch with ironing board, iron, and outdoor seating for two. The Rear Porch leads out onto a small, enclosed yard with outdoor tap for washing off sandy feet. Lounge The comfortable cosy lounge has a large sash window looking out onto East Row Beck and Mulgrave Woods and has two medium sofas, two separate armchairs, a Smart TV with Sky and wood burning stove, providing the perfect space to relax. Bedrooms and Bathrooms There are 3 bedrooms set over the two floors, as well as Master ensuite with bath and separate shower and 1 family shower room. Bedroom 1: Set on the first floor with front and rear facing Yorkshire Sash Windows, accessed by a flight of stairs from the Kitchen, furnished with a super king size bed, chest of drawers, wardrobe, Smart TV and ensuite bathroom located up a flight of stairs on the second floor with bath, separate shower, hand basin, WC, and a heated towel radiator. Bedroom 2: Positioned on the first floor with front facing Yorkshire Sash Window, accessed by a flight of stairs from the Lounge, this room is furnished with two single beds, dressing table and in-built wardrobe, original Cast Iron Fire Place and has an interconnecting door to the Master Bedroom. Bedroom 3: Located on the second floor, accessed by a flight of stairs off the upstairs landing, this twin-bedded room is up in the eaves so has sloping ceilings with a Velux window and is much loved by both children and adults, as a hidden hideaway. Family Shower room: The family shower room services Bedrooms 2 and 3 and offers a large shower, hand basin, WC, and a heated towel radiator. Utilities - The cottage is fitted with a Mechanical Heat Recovery Ventilation System with air filtration providing superior air quality and has zoned gas central heating with NEST central heating controls. Outside At the front of the property there is the bin store and parking for 1 car on the Private Road. At the rear of the property there is a very small, enclosed yard with outdoor tap. The Cottage is positioned on a Private Road that joins the A174 and runs along the southside of East Row Beck. The road provides access to a small number of residential properties, Mulgrave Woods and a public footpath leading up Bristly Dale towards Dunsley. Take a short stroll across the road and you will be on the expansive sandy beach in just 1 minute - the sunrise over the North Sea is not to be missed. Guest access Guests have access to the full property. The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date. Other things to note Please note due to the age of the cottage and being charachtful and quirky in nature the staircases are curved and quite steep with treads that are wide at one side and narrow at the other. There are banisters and hand holds in place but as the bathrooms and bedrooms can only be accessed by the stairs please do take this into consideration if yourself or any of your party have mobility challenges.
