Situated on a quiet, country road with very little traffic you will enjoy the beautiful countryside setting and sounds of nature. Centrally located in Wayne County we are just a short drive to many things to do! Honesdale, Hawley, Narrowsburg, Callicoon, Bethel Woods, Delaware River, Prompton State Park for starters. Welcome to the newly renovated and updated cottage! The main residence and cottage sit on 6 acres on a quiet country road. It's very peaceful here, just the sounds of nature and the occasional vehicle going by. We are centrally located and just a short drive to to all of the local towns, each with it's own unique flavor and vibe for shopping, restaurants, festivals and events. 15 minutes to Honesdale 20 minutes to Narrowsburg NY and the Delaware River 25 minutes to Hawley and Lake Wallenpaupack 25 minutes to Callicoon, NY and the Delaware River 30 minutes to Bethel Woods for the Arts ~ the original site of Woodstock 45 minutes to Montage Mountain or Elk Mountain for skiing. Towels and linens are provided and there is a supply of coffee, tea, sugar and honey as well as some basic spices, oil, vinegar, and cooking spray. The outdoor space is a work in progress. There is a fire pit you are welcome to use, you will need to purchase fire wood at one of the local locations or if you are adventurous you can gather some here on the farm. The WiFi is thru T-Mobile. The cottage does not have a TV. The dogs and I live in the main residence and there is a fenced yard attached for them. You will have access to the entire cottage. The outdoor space is large and a work in progress and you will share it with us. There are often deer in the big field outside the cottage front door and you will often see Red Tail Hawks flying around. I live on the property and am here to help guests if needed. The resident dogs have a fenced yard attached to the main house, they won't disturb you or your pets and I ask that you keep your pets on the cottage side of the driveway. The setting here is rural and very peaceful yet only 7 miles from the nearest town of Honesdale which has plenty of restaurants and shopping. You will need to drive to get everywhere you want to go.
