4 Bears Den is a family and dog friendly home that sleeps up to 11 people with hot tub and game room. A 5 min walk to Snowflake Lodge, with guest access to the pool, lake, tennis courts and more! Game room on the lower level has a 70" TV, pool table, arcade game, card table and a closet stocked with games, puzzles and books. 2 king bedrooms, a bunk room with 2 bunk beds plus trundle, and a sleeper sofa in the game room makes it a perfect location for extended family trips. All the comforts of home can be found while set amongst the tall pines, just a 5 min drive from Calaveras Big Trees State Park in the town of Arnold, CA. Our home is located 15 min from wine tasting in Murphys and 30 minutes from Alpine Lake and skiing at Bear Valley. All this, along with access to 2 private LAKES, community POOL, tennis courts and recreation facilities (guest card and entry fee required) within a 5 min walk from the house. The home includes 3 levels for everyone to spread out plus a wrap-around deck for dining and lounging, separate seating on the front porch deck to sip your morning coffee and a HOT TUB to relax after a day of outdoor activities. 3 large bedrooms, 2 full baths and a 4th bedroom/GAME ROOM make 4 Bears Den perfect for extended family gatherings or just plenty of room for the ideal getaway. A fully stocked kitchen, outdoor BBQ grill and large dining tables indoors and out, allow for meals to be prepared and enjoyed. NOTE: The home is set in woods where various wild animals/critters may pass through, including, but not limited to: bears, mountain lions, fox, wild turkeys, deer, lizards, frogs, various insects etc. Do not engage with or feed any wild animals. We do have regular pest service for rodents and insects but due to the location of the cabin, we are unable to guarantee no pests in/around the property. Hosts are not responsible for actions of any wild animals/insects, etc. WINTER ADVISORY: If traveling during the snowy season, please be advised that we highly recommend tire chains to travel safely through the hilly roads of the community. We have contracted snow plowing service for our driveway but after storms, it may take an extended period of time before the plows can reach the cabin. We appreciate your patience and understanding. Unfortunately we can not offer refunds for cancellations due to inclement weather but will do our best to accommodate possible changes. Guest access Guests will have access to the whole house with the exception of the owner and cleaner's closets. Other important information: 4 Bears Den can accommodate up to 2 cars in the garage and 2 cars in the front parking area. Please contact us if you should need to park additional vehicles. There are steep hills in the neighborhood including our driveway that will require chains in snowy conditions. Cell phone service is not strong in all parts of Arnold (Verizon has the best reception). Please make sure to download driving directions prior to arriving as you may not have full GPS service. Curbside garbage pick up is not available in Arnold and tenants will be responsible for trash disposal. Our cleaning service offers trash pick up for $50 which is an optional add-on for your convenience. Garbage can be easily dropped off at the Avery Transfer Station on your way home.
