The interior features a cozy living room with a vaulted, wood-paneled ceiling, a warm gas fireplace, and a large library perfect for quiet evenings. Five acres of open grounds to explore, morning walks through the estate, and no cramped spaces. Please note that dogs must be kept on a leash at all times when outside, for the safety of all guests and animals on the property. FOR COUPLES: Light the fireplace, sleep in, and explore Cedarburg's wine trail or Milwaukee's restaurant scene at your own pace. The estate has a quiet, storybook quality that guests call genuinely hard to leave. FOR WEEKEND ESCAPES FROM MILWAUKEE OR CHICAGO: Far enough to feel it — no traffic noise, real dark skies at night, genuine stillness in the morning. Plus if you are lucky, you will get to hear the sheep from the neighboring farm. Never more than 30 to 90 minutes from wherever you came from. Guest access Guests will have exclusive and private access to the entire 3-bedroom cottage, including its screened porch and English Garden/patio area. You are also welcome to enjoy the shared 5-acre grounds of the historic Jahn Farmstead. Feel free to walk, relax, let pets roam freely on leash, and enjoy the peaceful setting. Convenient self-check-in is available via a smart lock. Detailed arrival instructions will be provided prior to your stay. Other things to note HISTORIC PROPERTY: The Jahn Farmstead is a registered local historic landmark and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. SHARED ESTATE: Please be aware that this is a working family estate with three structures: our family home, this 3-bedroom cottage, and a 1-bedroom guesthouse (also listed on Airbnb). PHOTO UPDATES: We have recently made several upgrades, including a new convection stove, refrigerator, updated beds and linens, comfortable seating in the living room, and a Culligan water filtration system. These improvements may not all be reflected in the current photos, but we are working on updating them. Guests often tell us the cottage is even better in person! DOG OWNERS, PLEASE NOTE: for the safety of all guests, pets, and our own animals, dogs must be kept on a leash at all times when outside. There is plenty of room to explore the full 5 acres and we just ask that leashes stay on throughout. EV CHARGING: EV charging is available on-site via our Level 2 Tesla charger, capable of charging up to 44 miles per hour. There is an additional fee of $10 per night for use. To ensure the charger is activated and ready for your arrival, please send us a message before your stay so we can get everything set up for you. Please note that the nightly fee applies to each night of your stay and is separate from your booking total.
