In the heart of Châtillon-sur-Indre hidden behind the ramparts of this medieval town and walking distance to all amenities. This charming well equipped apartment with a pretty garden, sleeps two. Whether you are planning a short romantic get-away an overnight stop on the way to somewhere else or a long stay for a training course Le Guet du Garde will have everything you need. The space The living space has a very comfortable double bed and two swivel armchairs. All bedding, towels etc. are supplied so you have less to pack for your trip. The kitchen is fully equipped to cook the most adventurous menus, with an induction hob and a dishwasher or there is a microwave and freezer if your studies lend more to a quick pizza! The large modern bathroom has a bath with full size shower, toilet, wash basin and heated towel rail. There is a garage to securely park your car and a lovely secluded garden with dining area, reclining chairs where you can unwind. Immediately opposite are two electric car charging points. The apartment is deceptively spacious and has a warm welcoming feel. We are sure once installed you will never want to leave. With doors separating the bedroom / sitting room from the kitchen, dining room and the separate bathroom you are guaranteed to kick back and relax. The property has the benefit of fibre optic WiFi, enabling fast and efficient connections for work, studies or streaming. Plus we have a TV. IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Access is through the garage situated in the ramparts of the town with a manual opening door. You must climb 3 flights of stairs, (46 Steps) to reach the apartment. DOGS OR OTHER ANIMALS MUST NOT BE LEFT ALONE IN THE APARTMENT. Dog Care is offered at an additional cost and should be booked as soon as possible to ensure the service is suitable and available on that day. The Garden is shared during working hours with the shop below, which is currently a dog grooming salon. Client dogs are not allowed into the garden, but the owners little Poodle may sometimes be around, (she is very friendly). The salons normal working days are 8h30-18h Tue. Wed, Thur, Sat. Guest access You will have full access of the apartment and gardens. The staircase to the garages are shared with the neighbouring house. (at present empty). Other things to note Below are a few rather boring details about using the accommodation. Airbnb stipulate we must list all details which we may need to refer, we have never had to, especially as we are sure you will be like all the charming guests we have had before, however… Here they are: On arrival, you will be asked to complete an Occupancy form. The maximum number to reside in the Property is 2 persons and this include adults and/or children, babies under 24 months are not included in this head-count. Facilities are open only to residential guests listed on the occupancy form. Please seek prior approval from the Owners should you expect additional or external guests, visitors during your visit, this will not be unduly withheld, but it will be help with our planning. Neither linen nor fixtures and furnishings from the Property are to be taken off the property. On departure for hygiene and the environment, we ask that you remove the used bedlinen, towels and dish cloths and place them in the laundry bags provided, we however ask that you do not put them onto wash. Electricity. A meter reading is taken the day of your arrival, and again the morning of your departure. Usage above the amounts stipulated below will be charged at the current rate paid by the owner and will be verified by sight of a recent utilities bill. 1. Summer lettings electricity usage (consumption) are calculated at a usage of 5 kwt of electricity per 24 hours. 2. Winter letting electricity usage (consumption) are calculated at 40 kwt of electric per 24 hours The Property is on mains drainage however. Please do not flush any dry goods e.g. coffee grounds, sanitary napkins, tampons, baby’s nappies/wipes or thick wads of toilet papers down the drains or toilets. Also French drainage cannot handle British toilet paper, which is thicker than the French equivalent so only paper purchased in France is to be used. Wi-Fi is provided free of charge. Coverage extend within the confines of the house. The IT equipment in the Property must not be altered, adjusted or interfered with in any way and if any of the computer hardware is found to have been tampered with causing a malfunction or interruption to the system or internet services the Security Deposit will be used to cover the IT support fee to reset the system.
